That's a suspiciously long discount window. Yup, the winter sale is coming up very soon.
I assume they still haven't added an easier mode to the game and modding is still only possible on an old build?

Really love this game but it's just too damn hard for me. Wish there was an integrated exploration mode were damage taken and time progression is halved.

However, does anybody know if owners of the base game will get their game upgraded for free, or owning the DLCs as well will be required for it?
I have read contradictory informations on the subject, but haven't seen any official statement about that.

Definitely not if you just have the base game. The conflicting info I'm seeing is whether both DLCs are required or just The Three Brothers, with what strike me as more reliable and I think also more recent reports stating the latter, which is interesting.
