I haven't heard many good things about this game, but I guess some people might like the promo!
Even 60% off isn't low enough to get me to buy this game, but it's nice to have the complete edition here should I ever want to get it.
Nice, but no discount for owners of the base game?
So this is basically just a repackaging of the existing:

- Omerta: City of Gangsters (4 DLCs included)
- DLC: The Japanese Incentive

Right?

Since I have those two items already, it would be nice if this Gold edition would not show as a "not owned" item for me. Not sure how easy that would be to do, but I am not looking forward to buying the Gold edition by mistake, when I have the same items in separate packages already. I think it worked like that if you bought Risen 2 Gold Edition, then the two separate Risen 2 packages were marked as purchased as well.

The right thing to do of course would be to automatically give all the people with the existing items the Gold Edition, but I don't know if the publisher allows that, nor whether it makes any difference in the end (ie. you still have to download all the same installers etc., no matter whether you bought them separately or in a Gold Edition).

The only difference between the Gold Edition and the base game is the Japanese Incentive DLC, which is also 60% off.
It seems that gold edition is nothing more than the sum of its parts.

So I just need "The Japanese Incentive" DLC to complete the gold edition on my library.
But the page let me pick the gold edition full pack and pay the full price! Fix this please. It can be misunderstood.

Sweet - thanks!

There is the DLC package (Japanese Incentive) separately, which I _presume_ is the only missing part from the "base" GOG version.

EDIT: Ninja-ed

Yeah - Divinity Dragon Commander is another game with this issue.

Same goes with Sword of the Stars - The Pit.
high rated
This will be the definitive edition of the game ... until Kalypso releases the next DLC.

Pardon the cynicism, but the way how Kalypso is selling "Complete" or "Gold" versions right before they release new DLC has disappointed me so much that I won't buy Kalypso games until they are at least two years old. You simply can't trust their labels.

They did this thing for Tropico 4 as well as Omerta, so at this point it's pretty clear that it's intentional. And it's a marketing tactic that I'm not particularly fond of.
Does this version has the game breaking bug fixed?
If so, it should definitely be available to people who already have Omerta and the Japanese Incentive.

I definitely agree on this. Owners who already have parts of a game a game to equal Gold or Deluxe should be marked as having it., with both the Gold or Deluxe and the different parts of the game to remove confusion. There are multiple games that I have seen this error on.

Based on Risen 2 Gold Edition, it works to the opposite direction though. Ie. as I bought the Risen 2 Gold Edition, the two other separate Risen 2 items got greyed out as well.

I'd hope it would work the opposite direction as well, especially in cases where the "Gold Edition" is simply a bundle of the separate installers.
