On a roll in Olliwood.

OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, a high-octane shot of skateboarding sequel, is available now for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 25% launch discount!

Ollie, grind, switch, manual, kickflip, bluntslide, revert manual, sloppy, faceplant. Go again. OlliOlli was never a particularly complicated game, but it was about as close as you can get to mechanical perfection. This translated into an incredibly satisfying, technical, skill-based challenge with impeccable flow whether you're rocking your timed landings, or your faceplants.
Next to its sequel, OlliOlli feels like a proof of concept, and OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood turns that concept into a much bigger and plain ol' awesomely fun game, the THPS2 of fast and freaky 2D skating. OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, like its predecessor, is not an easy game to master - particularly with all the new tricks and modes that you'll have to practice, but even the basics of just getting through a level in with your board in once piece are both fun and rewarding.

Shout towards the heavens, in pride or frustration, in OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for one week, until Tuesday, August 18, 12:59 PM GMT.
I own this from the Humble Bundle.

I'm not one to complain about a game I don't like showing up, more power to those who want this, but how the heck has Dex been denied but this ends up in the catalog?

Gengar78: WOW! Great job GOG! Tell me, what features did you cut out this time? ;)

JudasIscariot: We cut out the Freddi Fish feature :P
I know Pajama Sam Vols. aren't exactly bestsellers but c'mon, can't GOG and Retroism throw this guy a bone. ;)

You sure about that? Humble has only bundled the first one so far.

Aye, that's the one I'm talking about, I haven't played the second one.

The point was that the first one is here, and that reminded me of a lot of bad flash games, but other games (Dex being the one that I'm personally grumpy about) aren't added because they are somehow not up to standards.

The same thing with games like Windforge, such great potential but almost completely unplayable on release... Actually, I need to reinstall that and see if they've patched it to usability yet.

I don't understand how these game choices are made.

Mr.Caine: You either cut something out that requires Galaxy by default or watch the forums implode with pseudo DRM hate-fear mongering. Can't win either way.
Sure can. Might be harsh, but GOG should really just ignore them. They are the minority, Victor Vran proves that. With Galaxy now, it about time GOG makes a decision and openly comes out with what "they" define DRM free as once an for all... what everyone else thinks DRM free is, is irrelevant. Put an end to the debate that gets us nowhere.

By the way, loved the first OlliOlli, will pick this up too at some point...

Don't try to understand, because you'll end up more frustrated. GOG won't be able to release all the games here, for one reason or another.

I have no issue with some content that requires Galaxy, just so long as the base game works without it. There are some games I own here that require a login in order to have everything open, but the majority of the game functions just fine when you choose to skip it, so I see it as bonus content if you're willing to sign up for the account rather than some form of DRM.

I don't think there's any reason to complain until something absolutely requires Galaxy or a game specific login and is useless without it.

If we could, we would but it's kinda beyond me to decide :P

My feelings exactly... but there are many here that hate anything online connected. Because of that the term DRM on GOG has basically become whatever you dislike. GOG should clarify there stance on DRM free. End the debate, and let those people move on if they don't like it.

JudasIscariot: Ummm....we just released not too long ago 3 classic games made by a German developer in German, I think bones have definitely been thrown :P
He is specifically referring to Gengar78 asking for his beloved Freddi Fish 2. :P
From one Humongous fan to another. ;)

Also, can you answer my question here?

Not included as of right now but I hope that this will change with Galaxy but that's a hope on my part and I have nothing definite to declare on that so whether this will come or not is not set in stone.
