Looks really good cant wait to play this.
So happy to see this game released here, instabought.
Have also been waiting for this to get here. Another instabuy here
Why does it say "not compatible with your Mac" when I go to checkout? I tried a few other Mac games and they don't trigger it, so it's not GOG messing up in general, just this game.

It shows only different Windows versions as supported OSs.
That might be the reason.

Oh, you mean on the right-hand side? Could be. I don't usually look at that, just the info at the bottom, which shows Mac system requirements.

Edit: Well, I bought it and right now there are only Windows files to download. I hope they fix this soon. (And maybe add the Linux version too? I didn't realize there was one, but it seems to exist on Steam.)

Getting it tomorrow.
Is there any cons to be aware of with this game?. How is the AI?
Glad the much needed competition for Civilization is arriving to GOG!

Old World is designed by Soren Johnson of Civ IV fame (my most played game ever).
Watching this until Linux/Mac builds are added. Is it really that difficult to release them to GOG at the same time?

Bad news for Mac/Linux users. You should probably request a refund..Don't know why they can't release those versions if they are already available on other stores.

Looks interesting. Unfortunately, my laptop falls a bit short for this game.
I like this game shape. However I don't like the middle age and the fact that it have already DLCs (even if they are free), but I feel tempted to purchase it. It seems well done, with crossplatform support and universal moding support. I'll wait for a bit, I'm more interested in other hooded horse releases (those that are in the galaxy, like Terra Invicta), lets see what the future bring to us, and I will decide what to purchase.

This is very much long before the Middle Ages.

The game has "technically been available" for a year; the expansion's release is new there, but the whole thing is new to us, since child exploitation money was used to buy a year of Epic Game Store exclusivity.

It's likely quite well-done. It's led by the guy who did vast swaths of Civ3 and Civ4, as well as polish on Spore, and the great economic RTS Offworld Trading Company. (And so far it is -- not perfect, but no game is.)

Modding support: You're in luck! This doesn't use Steamworks bullshit from what I see. Looks like it implements a "mod.io" API.

Lack of other OSes on GOG is an issue. I wish GOG would speak more to why the bleeping bleep devs never do them here it seems. Something has to be off about how GOG works things for it to be so consistent.
