Time for an action side-scroller – Nocturnal is now out on GOG, with a -10% launch discount until June 14th, 2 PM UTC!

In this 2D adventure adventure you surely won’t get bored, as you take up the role of Ardeshir, a soldier of the Enduring Flame. Your quest will be to uncover the mystery of what happened to your order – a horrible disappearance that you discovered upon the return to your home island of Nahran, now obscured by a peculiar mist. Battling anyone who will stand between you and your goal, you’ll have to wield the sacred flame of your ancestors and carve your way to the island’s center, where secret locations and powerful abilities await; to ultimately free your home from the Darkness.

I too, briefly thought I was seeing Noctur..ne...until I saw the al at the end.

Nocturne is one of my favorite games ever.

In regards Nocturnal, why is it apparently missing Achievements on GOG? I thought Dear Villagers didn't pull this kind of crap? That will be very discouraging if they actually do.

The store page says the protagonist's name is Ardeshir.

Maybe a typo should be corrected here.

Achievements can be seen using the ID method, but they are all without icons and at 0.0%, so they may not work for now. Hopefully they will implement them soon and not abandon them as in other cases.

If that name were put forward for something in a tabletop RPG, any group of players worth their dice would very shortly turn it into something like "Hard Shit". XD

This looks great... but also the kind of game I'm getting too old to beat, reflexes getting sloppy! XD
And yet, on the wishlist it goes, I think it could be plenty of fun.

I haven't played this yet but it reminds me of Dead Cells, which is a great game.
