If you’re in a retro-futuristic mood – better get ready for Mainframe Defenders, coming to GOG with a -85% launch discount! The offer lasts until January 17, 2 PM UTC. That’s not all though; if you’re not sure yet, we’ll help you decide: after trying out a free Mainframe Defenders: Meltdown - Prologue!

Mainframe Defenders is a turn-based strategy game with a focus on gear and unit customization. The research complex Stargazer has been attacked by malicious malware, and your quest is to defend it from robotic units it has overtaken. Lead a squad of 4 prototypes on a mission to protect a complex mainframe; you’ll have to figure out your own, diverse tactics, overheating your enemies, melting them with corrosion, or returning fire. You’ll have to be careful though, to not become too repetitive – the enemies might find ways to counter your strategy.

Defend the Mainframe, now on GOG!
That's a really big launch discount.
I hope they've somehow already been paid at least partially.
I've played the demo and it's a lot of fun!

But I've noticed that the camera does not follow enemy movement. Is this fixed in the full version?

Also, does the full version allow the user to save during missions?
With a discount like that, my will not to purchase anymore games here will definitely be tested, but I think I'll hold.

Wow. That's a tempting launch price/discount.

Calling it a "launch discount" is misleading as the game is almost two (edit: three as amok pointed out) years old by now, but I doubt it's "malicious" or something like that. Technically the game is launching on GOG.

The game is 3 years old. when it comes to the discount, it is currently -87% on "another store" (£0.62 here) so I would assume they have got what they wanted when they have such a deep discount.
Man, when the full game is that cheap it almost isn't worth bothering with the free prologue.
I remember this one from a couple of years back, never really got to buy it, maybe now is the time (that discount!). However, I do remember someone mentioning that it was better to start on easy difficulty, I wonder how true that is...

GOG.com:
This appears to be from a Russian developer who might have left for Georgia to avoid mobilization (links in Russian, low translation quality from Google and Firefox translations makes it hard to tell):

VK personal page of the main (?) developer (archive.is)

Well, if it is truly a prologue and not just a demo, it may be fun. The prologue to Starcraft was good to play, to name one classic. The prologue to Song of Farca is good to play, and explains a few things for the main game.

Neat to see it jump to #2 on the current bestsellers. I guess that sale price is worth an "instabuy" for a number of people.

Does anyone know if the camera follows enemy movement in the full version?

No, that's just second case of full game with no unique content.
