LOST EMBER: Rekindled Edition – The Rekindled Edition of the acclaimed adventure featuring improved visual fidelity powered by Unreal Engine 5 – is now available on GOG!

Slip into the role of different animals to uncover the fate of an ancient world. Dive into deep waters, fly at lofty heights or even climb steep cliffs with a mountain goat, there are lots of ways of getting around.

You can also get LOST EMBER: Legendary Souls, an expansion of Lost Ember’s world into a new and vast open world that you can explore freely.

Now on GOG!
"Lost Ember" was a great experience for me and it really moved me when I played it back then. Without a doubt I would have bought this new version immediately ... but to my surprise it was already added to my account. So I'd like to thank the devs for offering this for free for owners of the original. Now I guess I will have to get that DLC since - as I said- I really liked the game :)

Btw: Devs just told me that the game should have achievements. A mistake happened and this will be fixed - so for those of you who enjoy achievements you can be assured that they will arrive shortly.

Edit: Achievements are fixed.

Nice! The system requirements for the rekindled edition look more than I can handle, so I'm really glad for how gracefully this was handled, with both the original version and the new edition remaining available in the store. Gifting the old/new edition to all existing and future owners of either product, effectively making them identical, is then really the cherry on top. My respect and kudos!

(I have to admit to not actually yet having played the game, but it's now going to the top of my backlog!)
The turning point in animal games is finally here!
Canis lupus preparing the scene for more games staring Canis familiaris!
Take that Felis catus, your internet dominance is coming to an end!

Is the DLC included in the edition or is it separate from the game? I don't like editions that don't include the DLC, unlike the deluxe edition which does. I like that.
There are many games I don't buy because of this, games that don't include all the DLC and are sold separately; I hate it, like King of Fighters for example and Cuphead and Streets Of Rage 4 .

If GOG decides to make complete deluxe editions or bundles, then okay :)

Thank you very much for this wonderful game
WOW, for free for owners of the original, glad to see, thank you!
Looks wonderful. I must have missed the original release. The only thing that has me puzzled is the "LGBTQ" tag. And no, before someone freaks out, it's not because "oh no, teh gayness!", but because the trailer reminds me a lot of the movie Flow (and that's a very, very good thing), in which the animals are... well, animals. They don't talk, don't act like humans, and a tag like that implies something more along the lines of, say, Lion King with more anthropomorphic animals. I'm just curious which is it?

I think you made the mistake and forgot that GOG tags don't make any sense in a lot of cases. It also has ''female protagonist'' tag. Do any of the animals look like female to you? (Well, except the bee =P)

Whoever uploaded the game information simply just checked some random checkboxes... to be sure.

Well, an animal doesn't have to look like Lola Bunny to be female, so I assumed that tag can be technically true regardless of the antropomorphic angle.

But yeah, I know damn well the tags are often worthless, in fact I'm usually the one bringing it up. I just kind of left the "or is the tag just random nonsense?" part implied this time.
Indeed the tags have been broken for so many reasons, at best they are great for some light "funny" (i.e. thats the only purpose they have am afraid, not to be taken seriously).

"Dog"?? come on, GOG!

A dog (c. familiaris) and a wolf (c. lupus) are completely different animals!

Or all wolfs look like dogs!?
