Impossible is nothing. If not fun!

Impossible Creatures, an outrageous RTS that lets you "mesh" around with animal DNA and build your own mutant army, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now with the 40% launch discount.

Noah put two of every animal in the Ark. This was cool at the time, but now along comes Rex Chance, a '30s war correspondent, curious to see what happens when you smush two animals into one. Why? Because DNA fusion is fun, and because he thinks there is great untapped potential in these strange pairings. Unfortunately, so does Upton Julius, the megalomaniac villain who stole the mysterious Sigma technology for himself, and is now threatening to conquer the world with his own army of mutant beasts.

Collect animal DNA, build your own unique units, and defeat Julius and his evil lieutenants in 15 different maps stretching across jungles, deserts and snow-ridden landscapes that make up the mysterious Isla Variatas. Create your own menacing winged scorpion, adorable kangaroo-shark, angry horned bear or any other Impossible Creature you desire - the possible combinations are only limited by your own imagination (or gross-out threshold). Then, go online and test your DNA-fusing skills against other wannabe-mad scientists in three different multiplayer modes.

Play God in this 3D hybrid of strategy and creativity, as your Impossible Creatures march forward, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get them now with a launch discount that will last until next Thursday, December 3rd, 1:59 PM GMT.

HunchBluntley: Well, this is apparently a thing. Glad there are some people who apparently know what this is and are pleased about it, though. =)

IronArcturus: Wow! Looks pretty cool! What resolutions does it support? Does it have windowed mode?
looks cool, and i also know it very well, i never got it beause of the 3d, but there seem to be a lot of hype back then about beiing a very good game, many people started to crossbreed animals, also read some magazine reviews
back then (paper ones) like pc gameplay (dutch/belgium magazine)

Because its a lot of 3d motion and 3d turning i never got it, thats the only reason.
And there were tons and tons of 3d game and 3d like games released, that explains why my collection grows so slowly, cause i am looking for 2d and flat look games, but these seem to become extinct in the new releases by the companies, 90% or more is heavy 3d.
Thats why i am glad theres casual games, although even these are starting to turn 3d aswell.

Thats why i was so happy to see east european developers (polish, russian....)starting developing games in the 90s, these guys made the oldschool 2d games in the style of fallout classic and jagged alliance classics.
But nowadays they also seem to have gone mainly for the 3d hype, so its very hard to get me some 'new' old school 2d games and add them to my collection.

Maybe you can cross a donkey and a cthulhoid. (Or a turkey and a duck and a chicken!) = )

Licurg: You can only make creatures out of 2 different animals, not more than that .
Thanks for the info! :)

I've been trying to watch a gameplay video but there something wrong with my connection right now as I can barely load webpages, let alone stream anything at all. I'll try again later.

You'd better tell the others on GOG, as it's already available (DRM-free to boot, too!) in other stores.
