Experience the true scale of a world war, the best in its class, Paradox style.

<span class="bold">Hearts of Iron III</span> the deepest and most accessible World War II simulation yet, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com at a 75% discount when you get it with the Complete DLC Collection in one purchase, or 66% off on its own.

Few would bat an eye if you tried calling the Hearts of Iron series a straight up World War II simulator, these are the few games that would never be out of place in any modern classroom. But for all the irreplicable, massive depth and scale there's a long list of gamers who fell trying to break through the iron curtain of a learning curve.

That's where Hearts of Iron III comes in. It's the sequel that focuses on really streamlining the miles deep simulation and flattening the learning curve to truly become the best and most accessible in its class.

None of this is to say that there's less content here, or that the series sacrificed anything in an appeal to the masses. Hearts of Iron III still takes a time investment, and it's still in a league of its own with mindblowing scale and depth: governments are simulated in detail from heads-of-state through cabinet members and generals (each with their own personality that you can use for your own means, else they be used against you), there are tens of hundreds controllable provinces, a sophisticated war economy, tons of scenarios, and more strategic and tactical possibilities than you could ever shake your sharpened, warmongering stick at.

For a more expansive experience, you can also pick up the <span class="bold">Hearts of Iron III DLC Collection</span>, featuring every bit of bonus content released to date - all at 75% off.

The bottom line is, <span class="bold">Hearts of Iron III</span> is as close as it gets to wrapping a hardcore simulation in a fun, one of a kind video game. It's also available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a hefty 75% discount alongside its DLC Collection! The launch promo will last until Tuesday, August 4, 12:59 PM GMT.
I'll buy it some other time... I finally got a backlog, and I don't intend to have it for long .

klech: Paradox is love, Paradox is life.

Soon (probably at GamesCom), there will be announced a brand new game from Paradox Development Studio, currently under codename "Project Augustus".

In the mean time, Hearts of Iron 3 :)
Which will be coming to GOG Day 1?
Yes. But there are currently no vacancies. It's just me and my iguana.
While I'm happy about this release (though I already have the game), I have to say, I'm disappointed that there is no Complete edition of it. Obviously, given the high price tag, it makes sense to offer the base game and the DLC separately. But I personally would have liked one complete package, even if it did end up having a rather ridiculous price tag, and Paradox isn't really the type to shy away from having all sorts of editions.

Oh well, I can only hope Victoria II will have a complete edition once it gets here.

I don't think there will me more DLCs... So yea they could've made a "Complete" version...

Aaand bought! Thanks GOG and Paradox!
Was just comparing the DLC list in the GOG pack to the list on Steam...

The GOG pack lists Semper Fi twice, once as simply "Semper Fi" and then again as "Semper Fi Dies Irae Götterdämmerung". On Steam, it is listed only once as "Semper Fi Dies Irae Götterdämmerung".

So I believe this is a mistake and there is a duplicate in the GOG DLC pack. Right?

Edit: ElTerprise corrected my misconception.

No it's not. The expansion is called Semper Fi which got a DLC called Dies Irae: Götterdämmerung.
Basically a fan-made DLC...

You're absolutely right. I see it now. Semper Fi is just not listed as a DLC on Steam. It has it's own listing under "Packages that include this game".

Thanks for clearing that up for me!
I like this discount. Instabuy. Top bad about Ziggurat releasing so late though.

No problem. I had to look myself because GOG lists 20 DLC while Steam lists 19 :).

So, in essence, DLC for DLC?

CDPR, take note. ;)

Well you need the expansion / DLC Semper Fi for it so basically yes. DLC for DLC...
Now that is an interesting release. Paradox is coming around with really good games now. And all DLCs in one package. Great. Tells you a lot about the excess of small DLC selling them single in the past.

Given the name it's pretty likely that the game should be a sequel of sorts to EU:ROME
