Mori_Yuki: Visual Novel would be a stretch. It's really closer to Alter Ego and a cross of Princess Maker and like games. It is a beautiful game, you get your binary sexes, boy or girl, you got to decide what your future personality and traits will be like, you are able to select your parents. Once that part is over, just a number of multiple-choice questions, you got to learn and unlock skills. Per way of earning brain points to invest in your skills and leisure activities, making up a schedule to train, raise and master those, you got to meet goals, your parent's expectations, special goals and a balance between your emotional well-being, leisure activities and your parent's satisfaction. Points are earned during mini-games, you click on and select certain traits -> physical, brain, heart so on so forth.

The only negative thing to say about is that progress is a bit to fast for my taste. Within a couple of turns, about half an hour irl., my character grew from toddler to pre-schooler to junior high grad. I don't know and can only hope that later stages will take more turns and effort to get there. In summary thus far it's a cute game bought on a whim with some rather nice music. I would say it's worth it for a relaxed gaming session. :)
Aw, sweet! Now I get to disappoint my virtual parents as well!

If I read the description correctly, you eventually play as your own child and can then disappoint yourself too!

Yes. When you set a schedule for your character and fail, learning to crawl, read, numbers, writing, even at leisure activities, it has a negative effect and she gets disappointed. That's what i also like, the hand-drawn animations when she goes about doing things, so funny. :D

Errrr... That's it? That 3 half-lines are a whole description?
OK, I understand that times are hard, but does GOG is in such a bad condition that they introduced word rationing or something?

Well, that's three and a half more lines than quite a number of announcements have received recently. Some have had as little as a few words...

Presumably the same thing that makes most Deluxe editions: Literally nothing you couldn't get online with a few searches.
