Dressed to kill.

The Loyalist Upgrade DLC, a delectable collection of vanity items to give your Grim Dawn characters that crucial bit of extra flair, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 15% launch discount.

When you're a mean, lean, constantly seen killing machine, there's nothing more important than looking amazing - covered in blood or otherwise. Rest assured: these items will definitely keep you in vogue with their timeless appeal and killer style. So don George Washington's wig and teach your enemies some manners. Perhaps you prefer the more unwholesome pirate look? In that case, the Swashbuckler's Coat and the Admiral's Hat might be more to your tastes. To further undermine your otherwise fearsome disposition, make sure to try some of the Enchanted Burrwitch Brew that will give you all the glorious disadvantages of a bad hangover and none of the questionable social skills. But at least make sure to bring a Will-O'-The-Wisp along, to help you see in the dark and find your way back home. Or around the next dungeon.

Level up your Grim Dawn character's fashion sense with the fun selection of cosmetic items found inside the Loyalist Upgrade DLC, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 15% discount will last until December 29, 5:59 PM UTC.

The name of the DLC made me think it would be free to owners of the game.
Also, sheesh that is expensive for what seems like quite a shitty DLC.
I love the game, i do truly but £6.39 for a few items that do fuck all, no, just no.
Wait until it's £1 in a sale.

These items were rewards for kickstarter backers at various tiers. When comparing this DLC to the tiers, these are processed decently. I wanted the wisp, but I was at the $58 tier. My option would have been to jump to the $85 tier just to get the wisp and a high-res digital map.

Yeah, it's seems pricey as it is, but considering the original costs I may grab this just for the wisp.
For reference, this was previously the Kickstarter-backers/pre-release buyers content. (Thus the name.)

(Though as a Backer, I still only have GW's wig, from my tier, and not the other hats...)

When I saw this I thought, a vanity DLC pack for 3 bucks? No thanks.

They want 9€? What's wrong with them?

*clears throat*

"Here ya go guys & gals, cough up £6.39 for these vanity items for Grim Dawn"
"What's that you say? Well, yeah....the game is heavily modable & anyone could make these kind of things for free or mere pennies, but, erm....buh bye?"

P.S. How do the backers feel? I know they paid a hell of a lot more for these, now they're sold to all & sundry? o0
Reminds me of what arenanet did with gw2.

*heads off to make mods*

Hmm, 3p cheaper on steam. Weird pricing!

Considering I can get the wisp for a lot less here than I would have by raising my backer tier, it's a win for me. Seriously though, I don't mind if others can get these now, just not for free. I've purchased DLC for pre-order bonuses months after release too. I believe a lot of backers put their money in to get the games made, and not to keep things from other gamers.

I don't buy this now, for that price you expect new character, items, new area , overall extend campaigning, but not few items. Maybe in future I will buy this when price will not exceed 1$ on some sale.

PS.
Recently I Buy all games on GOG, and again I feel I do something wrong. My brother in law spend, a lot less money on games with HB that me and his library is not that poor. Also he gets updates faster that me...

Best regards,
Yours loyal customer
