At the beginning of the Millennium, in a place in northwest China, a murder caused a temporary public uproar. Before dying, the murderer fiercely clenched a broken piece of a Buddha statue, and his strong resentment attracted the attention of "The Nothingness". As you dive deeper into the filth and story, you’ll discover a peculiar arson murder case of an entire family that took place a decade ago. Was this a natural disaster? What lurks behind this mysterious Buddha statue? In this filthy land of grievances, there are unknown secrets buried beneath.

Now on GOG!
Getting some Silent Hill / Harvester Games' vibes from this, instabought!
holy crap intense trailer
That's one tricky title to pronounce.
See? A game does not need audio with 12 different languages. Subtitles are enough.

If you can't read subtitles, you shouldn't be playing this game, or any game, but go back to school to learn to read.

EDIT: Bought, because why not?

I agree with the first sentence, but not the second. Some people simply *can't* learn to read. (Not everybody can see, for example.)

I'm dyslexic. I love to read but reading whilst also concentrating on a game (or movie) is rather difficult.
Has anyone bought this yet?

I'm a bit confused if this is 2 games or 1 game or what?

Steam has Filthy Us 1 and 2. The GOG Screenshots look like the ones from Filthy Us 2 on Steam.

Maybe we should go back to silent cinema too? I like voice overs.

You're right, it looks like the second game, which is good for us, because it is better rated.

I'm in the process of transitioning my home backups from Minio to Ceph so I'm not downloading anything right now.

Might be another week or 2. If nobody has beat me to the punchline by then (I hope they do), I'll download/install the game at that point and let you know.

A movie can have spoken dialogue without being dubbed over in 12 different languages.

It was refreshing to see many Bruce Lee movies with their original dialogue at last. As a kid I always saw only the English-dubbed versions, with Finnish subtitles if available. Nowadays they feel so fake, even if they are the versions I remember the best (because back then they were the only available versions of the movies).

The movies with Russian dubbing crack me up, the way one Russian bloke is repeating all the dialogue over the original dialogue.

I'll pass on this one, the art style is really not my cup of tea.

I'm still hoping it's both. If it has a story, then I;d prefer to avoid any gaps.

This part sounds more like a "I don't like the amount of storage 12 audio dubs take up"rather than anything else.

It's not just Russian. This happens in a lot of eastern European countries. It may crack you up, but proper dubbing is expensive, and so they lower the volume and speak over it.
So I've bought this and so far it looks like it is indeed Filthy Us 2. I don't think it contains the original game.

I was confused by the "Complete Edition" subtitle as a result, so I had another look on Steam. It looks like both games on Steam lack English, so I guess "Complete" means the addition of an English language. This also means that the English translation is exclusive to GOG lol.

It would be nice if they translated and published the original game here some day too.
