Doors that go like this, a new DLC for Production Line is now available DRM-free.

Are you tired of making cars that are easy to get into? tired of making cars that look sensible and are driven by ordinary people? The 'Doors that go like this' expansion contains everything you need for a billionaires mid-life crisis. Remember... you are not truly successful in life unless your car has doors that mean you cannot park it anywhere.

Update: Production Line is available 20% off until May 8th, 4pm UTC.

This has to be one of the most hilarious writeups ever.

I gave a woman from work a ride once. When she went to get out, she's like mumbling to herself "Now to figure out how to open this door..."

I'm sitting there, face crinkled up thinking to myself WTF? What's she think I have Lambo doors on this thing?

(I drive a 4 door sedan)
This is the first time I hear anything about this game. Anyone knows if it's worth it or not?

Thanks in advance.
Why Car Tycoon isn't on Gog ?

To say it with their own words from the game card:

"Find a way to take money from people with way more money than sense! Join in the global trend for monetizing ..."

This game looked promising. But it seems to end up as yet another DLC mess, starting not even 2 months after release.

i_hope_you_rot: So

- the base game on Gog doesn't have the latest patch

https://steamcommunity.com/games/591370/announcements/detail/1651042686416788316

- the base game currently on sale on Steam ( 20% off ) but not on Gog
It does! ...aaand it is, now :)

Good .
Wasn't expecting a business model like this; a shame, really. Looks like the dev wasn't joking after all: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/in_development_production_line_40a37/post22
Totally unrelated to the dlc and its main game but it is a bit surprising to see any release on Labour Day.
I want doors that go like this for, my house. :( :P

Game is looking good. Keep it up. I'll buy it soon enough.

All the best!

Is it generally surprising for a UK company to release something on a UK holiday? In the past I had the impression that companies often released things sometimes even on days when most of the company had a holiday, so I'm not sure what to think. And definitely weekend releases are not uncommon...mostly.

Trivia: In the US Labor day is first Monday in September...wikipedia: "It is customarily viewed as the end of the summer vacation season.[13] Many schools open for the year on the day after Labor Day.[14] The holiday is shared with Canada, where it is known as Labour Day (Fête du Travail in French). "

More trivia: "May Day is a public holiday usually celebrated on 1 May. It is an ancient Northern Hemisphere spring festival[1] and a traditional spring holiday in many cultures. Dances, singing, and cake are usually part of the festivities....In Hawaii, May Day is also known as Lei Day, and it is normally set aside as a day to celebrate island culture in general and the culture of the Native Hawaiians in particular."

(Still more trivia: But most of us in the U.S. regard May 1 as just another day and are unaware of international implications concerning "labour".)
