JudasIscariot: I highly recommend doing the tutorial a couple of times as the interface can be a bit different than what you may be used to :) I am referring to some of the more specific commands such as sneaking and knocking someone out :)
Yes, this sounds like a game that one has to master the nuances of, rather than the usual console pick-up-and-bash type of affair. All the better to have it here, as the one-of-the-kind games are the ones I really value.
Just a quick post to mention that this game is absolutely terrific and way better than all hitmans and stuff and that i loved it and that all those who play something else instead are wrong.

Also, make sure to look through key holes when possible :D

Sage advice for real life as well. ;)

PaterAlf: It looks interesting. Is it similar to the Hitman games?
avatar
JudasIscariot: It's much more complex as not only do you have to wear disguises BUT you have to act like the person you are disguised as :) For example, if you disguise yourself as an infantryman then you have to act like one (you'll see how to do so in the game) and stay away from higher ranked officers as it's not as simple as Hitman's disguise system :)

You can also peek through keyholes, knock people out and hide their bodies in various containers and more :)
Sounds like Commandos...
Damn, I need a new Commandos...
With up-to-date graphics and the same gameplay as in C 2.
After you finished The Witcher 3, guess this could be the next big thing ;)
Do you have the capability of using a controller (Xbox 360) with this game?

armitom: The mod is not really worth it, i never managed to get it running with the steam version and from what i read in the comments there aren't any big changes that i know of.

Maybe someone else has better experience with that mod, can help you out

What i do recommend is, when Dts 2 comes to GOG download the MOTmod which allows you to add the levels from DTS1 to DTS2 where the gameplay, visuals, engine is much better.
You need to own both games however
Ah, thanks for the info, it's very much appreciated. I won't bother with it, then.

Just finished the tutorial, and so far, I like what I see. Although I apparently suck at throwing grenades, sure won't be using that a lot...
Just remains to be seen now if this rises to frustrating levels of hard or just challenging and fun levels of hard :)

That's cool! I'll have to wait for DtS 2 then.

Game is just epic, must-buy.

Is this censored version, or we can watch all that swastikas and Hitler portraits without installing mods? Atmosphere with those is MUCH better IMO.
So what is this game like? Is it similar to the Hitman series?
moment of truth includet?

It's hitman merged with commandos and made better than the sum of both.

Plus, involves the historical smersh, which is quite a bonus for ian fleming readers.

Sounds cool! Does it have a windowed mode?

This I don't know. Never tried that. So much stuff on screen that you want a lot of room anyway. Not only for surroundings awareness, but also... depending on the moment, or your mood, you play more or less focused on the 3D environment or on the map display (the map makes it a more commando-like game), but often with both. So, I'd say, the more details you can fit on the screen, the better...

If it has a window mode, I'd still suggest a full-screen play.

Thanks for the info! Also, have you played that Men of War game that's in the promo? Is that game any good?
