Suit-up, we have visitors!

Crysis® and Crysis Warhead®, the impressive, fast-paced shooters that dawned a new era in the genre, are available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 60% launch discount.

It was supposed to be a simple extraction mission within enemy territory. Your high-tech Nanosuits should give your team a clear edge, thanks to their amazing technology that can grant incredible strength, speed, armor or even cloaking abilities. Everything was going fine but then Crysis struck and a new enemy descended upon your team. The landscape changed, the objective changed, the rules of engagement changed. Now your Nanosuit is the only thing giving you a slim chance at survival against these advanced aliens that will take every bit of firepower and tactical thinking to yield. The hostile open world will test you every step of the way, with smart alien A.I, zero gravity conditions, and intense encounters.

The standalone expansion Crysis Warhead gives you an alternative perspective to this chaotic battle against the aliens. As Sergeant Sykes, you will find yourself behind enemy lines, on a mission to retrieve a sensitive piece of cargo. New vehicles, new weapons, new locations, and fresh challenges await you there and they look as stunning as ever.

Slip into your overpowered Nanosuit and take advantage of its advanced abilities in order to survive the Crysis® and Crysis Warhead®, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 60% discount will last until November 3, 12:59 PM UTC.

Those Crysis games are not my cup of tea but it's good to see more EA releases here.
Awesome, I always wanted to try out Warhead, and perhaps give Crysis a fourth playthrough. It definitely has one of the best FPS experiences out there.
Bad link for Warhead. The game card doesn't have an underscore.

Djaron: what happened to EA ? Touched by grace or something ?

i mean: in merely 3 or 4 month, they brought old but yet major and emblematic titles to the DRM Free faction of ours: Dragon Age, Deadspace, Mirror Edge, and a few others... Now Crysis as welll ? Damn, someone at EA sure had been hypnotized or brainwashed by a DRM Free hacktivist, i guess.

It's good news though !
Comes down to sales data I'd guess. These are pretty old titles that probably no longer sell as well as they used to on Steam and Origin. However, bring them to GOG as DRM-free titles and even people who already own them might buy them again.
Now I'm torn, this release is bad news AND good news at the same time.

Good - EA releasing stuff here should be considered good in any case
Neutral - not particularly hyped about either of the games. Tried Far cry already, and it only took about 30 minutes to decide that it was far cry from what I expected of it. Crysis is trying to hype itself as Far Cry successor which doesn't give it any positive points as far as I'm concerned
Bad - it means that Bethesda dump tomorrow is unlikely

GR00T: FPS aren't my thing, but great to see these show up here. Keep 'em coming!
exactly my thought aswell..........

also any 3d title is a no for me (gamemotionsickness)

So when will we have dozens of good old 2d no zooming/ rotating. not flashy lighing effects games ?

Its been a while since dozens of good old classic came out.

So far its very quiet haven't been able to get many games, maybe 10 in the last 10 months that is 1 game a month
last years i was able to get 5 or more games each month.

Still hoping the Animation Arts Bundle:( list price: 46 euro : 7.69 eu a game) will arrive

Includes 6 items:
Lost Horizon, Lost Horizon 2, Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis, Secret Files 3, Secret Files Tunguska, Secret Files: Sam Peters

now those are titles i buy the whole package at 47 euros drm free

I have them at steam loaded with drm tages , securom and more bad stuff, so i cant play them .
Can never go wrong with these games.
'Nice to see Crysis finally on GOG! How does Warhead compare to the first game?

More of the same, I enjoyed it more.
Uhm, when will this game be released here?
It`s still not here!
Wait... did the PC version of Crysis get updated from Cry Engine 2 to 3 when it released for the consoles too? Or does only the console version have Cry Engine 3?
One of the trailers are for the console version, so of course I'm confused! [edit]
It's ok I'll just answer my own question:

Basically the same, except that the good parts (fighting human enemies) are longer. Doesn't reach the scale of the main game though, with the invasion basically being on a completely different part of the island...

Nice additions, though shooters are rarely my cup of tea. At some higher discount though I might get them later. Now what I'd wish here is the C&C series and the full collection of Mass Effect 1-3, with all DLCs.
