Kind of makes me think of Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. That was a good game that used to be here, but got pulled for unknown reasons.

Might give that a try when I see some more reviews of it.

Hmm, it's well known Undead are the most suited for the job of changing the lives of locals (and bec. no Stamina penalty).
