Castle of Heart: Retold is a massively upgraded and expanded version of the original release – and it’s now available on GOG with a 15% launch discount until October 16th, 7 AM UTC!

Stand against the Sorcerer – a servant of the evil god Chernobog – to free the last priestess of goddess Mokosh and liberate the land from the Sorcerer’s tyrannical rule. As a Slavic warrior named Svaran, you must overcome not only magical creatures and lethal contraptions, but also a terrible curse that has turned your body to stone. You need to keep up your killing spree, otherwise your body will start to disintegrate, eventually losing limbs and the ability to wield weapons!

Now on GOG!
Since I beat Jet Kave Adventure last year, I was looking for a similar game. JKA was fun (though frustrating at times) so after I was done, I run into this (no longer) Switch exclusive called Castle of Heart, and it looked fun and unique.

Great to see another fun 7Levels title ported over to PC.

It kind of looks like a darker Trine (just the visuals I mean). I like it. And there aren't too many such 2D fantasy platformers. I'm just not sure about that "keep up your killing spree, otherwise your body will start to disintegrate" mechanic. I don't like the idea of playing with a constant ticking clock.

True. Not fantasy, but personally I'm still hoping we eventually get to see Ben-Hur: Re-Charriotstered (shamefully borrowed sub-title from Red Faction remaster) or something surface on PC, despite the OG delisting.

Don't really like the sound of that mechanic either, at least not in a platformer like this. But pretty sure I can bite it, the most it can do is just annoy me when going for all the crystals in a level.
