Now with completely new detailed visuals, animation, audio, and quality of undead updates while retaining the classic feel and gameplay of the original. dtgreene: Guess I could finally get this game, even if not in its original form.

More expensive than the original, but that's OK, as it's still cheap.

UCrest: Breath of Death VII? That means there's a first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth instalment before this one. Or is it part of a parody of the old RPG sagas we had in the 90s (FFIII, Soul Blaizer 2: Illusion of Gaia, Breath of Fire 2, etc.)?

Haha... Great. I love the retro 16-bit aesthetic, and the music is very reminiscent of the sound style of the great productions of the genre in the 90s. But above all, you can see that the developers have put a lot of love into the game. And that's appreciated.

To the wish list. =)

dtgreene: The number, i think, is a reference to Final Fantasy 7, which came after "FF3" in the US.

Oh, and the original was 8-bit; this game is actually a 16-bit styled remaike. I hope they add a mode that restores the original 8-bit style.
Thanks for the info., @dtgreene!
Hugs! =)

twillight: Because it seems it'll be removed from distribution everywhere else at least. So will it be rmeoved here too therefor we should rush to buy it if we want, or what?

PaterAlf: I still don't see why you asked the question in a release thread of a completely unrelated game.
Because it is the freshest thread, which even the GoG-crew visits, duh!

Tarhiel: I see. Do you know why is it being taken down?
Nope. There was a guess that it's only Steam, but then I did a broader broasing, and boom, it's seemingly every platform.

I have both the original and now this one. and thank goodness for this remake. The studio who did the remake is actually founded by one of the cofounders of Zeboyd games, and he was the main developer of BoDVII, as it is his IP, not Zeboyd's. That's why Shadow Layer made this one, for anyone wondering (Link to post explaining this). As for the other Zeboyd games, they still have the rights to them, so they probably won't be coming here.

The few QOL improvements are great. The game looks better while still being retro, and you can tell pretty quickly if enemies are attacking you now.
