SCPM: Man, I didn't know this game was a Souls-like, I thought it was gonna be like a supernatural western System Shock 2. But no, you have a stamina bar, enemies respawn when you rest, a single enemy can kill you in a few hits, healing items and ammo are scarce, and when you die you get cursed so the game becomes more difficult. I'll give it another shot one day, but I really wasn't in the mood for something like that when I picked this up. =\
Wait, what? Haven't had the time to play the game yet, but if I'd known they implemented a fair amount of Souls-like mechanics I wouldn't have purchased this title. :/

Dark Souls has influen... I mean infested way too many other games...I was looking forward to an immersive western fps, not yet another frustration simulator. :(
You can save anywhere, but (1) this will kick you back to the main menu so you have to load the save you just made, (2) once playing you can only load from a previous save by Alt+F4ing and restarting the game, and (3) your save will be overwritten when you die, so you have to Alt+F4 to avoid death if you want to prevent that.

I agree that the trendy machismo harms the game. The supply of ammo (or loot to buy more with) doesn't seem balanced around the enemy respawn mechanic. Apparently the game is quite mod-friendly, so hope springs eternal...

Could try asking for refunds, of course.

Yeah, but the other Hyperstrange games have been immensely fun, I think I'll give the game a shot. :)

At least I don't have to spam the dodge roll-button. :P
