dudalb: If by the original you mean the 1996 release, expecting a free copy of the reamke is a bit much.
(Looks at Doom, Heretic, Hexen, Bioshock 1-2, Deus Ex Human Revolution Directors Cut, Divinity Original Sin EE, Neighbours From Hell, Skyrim Special Edition, etc, where the remake / enhanced version was given away for free, plus how well Blood was already running with EDuke32 / nBlood / Raze, plus the borderline Mixed / Mostly Negative Steam review scores plus the 2.4 / 5.0 GOG score "refreshed" is getting). Not really. It's just more "low hanging fruit" bait for those with more money than sense.
Edit: I just read the "most helpful" GOG review at time of writing:-
Errors/Problems I noticed after playing the first level: - Voxel sprites facing the wrong way everywhere.
- Missing sound bites and interactables.
- Missing cheats.
- Midis sounding weird in any mode/no soundblaster.
- Napalm launcher alt fire behaves weird.
Minor issues that I could easily overlook:
- Barebones options for enemy behavior.
- Rain effect is realllly bad to the point it shouldn't have been added.
^ 15 year old source ports of the game at least didn't delete bits of it or make the audio worse...
