Ashes of the Singularity - Epic Map Pack DLC brings monster-sized arenas and new map objectives, DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy support for achievements and multiplayer.

Ashes of the Singularity was not built for comfort, it was built for massive skirmishes and epic confrontations and that's exactly what this pack brings!
Test your skills Against all Odds, in a new scenario that sees you surrounded by four Substrate entities after infiltrating the Nexus of planet Qoshyk.
Once you escape, move on to the six gigantic maps where victory is decided by how well you can adapt to each objective and the challenges posed by the map layout. Will you choke your enemies' resource intake, try to sneak up on them, or overwhelm them with superior numbers?

Fight your friends or team up with them in the 4-6 player battlefields found inside the Epic Map Pack DLC, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Matruchus: Yep, spamming map and other dlc as usual while not improving the game much. Still seems like an early access game at this point.

They are also going to be releasing an expansion dlc (payable for everybody) around september per their road map while the base game is still not even close to be finished.

At this point I recommend everybody to stay the hell away from this game until it gets finished since it seems Stardock has gone full Paradox Enterntainment dlc spamm way on this game.

Antoni_Fox: 1) I don't see what you mean about the game not being finished... I can't think of a single modern PC game that doesn't get bug-fixes or other patching after release.

2) Oxide Games are handling the development of this game. Stardock are only taking care of the publishing.

3) The last few games Paradox have published were not developed by them (Cities Skylines, Pillars Of Eternity) so blaming Paradox for spamming mass DLC is a bit lame.

At this point i recommend you stop being bitter that your potato PC's aren't good enough to run this game.
The game feels half done for me. And for the record it runs fine on my 1 year old potato pc (be it directx 11/12) as you said. Fact is the game was released from early access to soon. It needs a lot of work on stability and of course more features, units and off course more content for base game not just constant dlc spamm. Its a very dry expirience for me. Comparing it to the gold standard > Supreme Commander FA it needs a lot more to get there. Definitely lacking singleplayer expirience at this moment, unless you buy all the scenario dlc off course :) Campaign very short and as it seems abandoned looking at the Stardock roadmap.

As for Paradox dlc spam -> I was talking about Paradox games not games they published for others. Can't wait to see those 100 dlc they have stored for HoI IV and Stellaris :) Eitherway, my point was that Ashes is not quite there yet where it should be. Needs a lot more of work on it and more content for base game. That is all.

Since I know Stardock development system I can only recommend players to wait for Ashes of Singularity version 3 which will include every dlc/patches similar to Rebellion.

1) Maybe because the game feel like it's lacking content for a 40€ price tag?

2) Well Stardock behaves similarly with GalCiv III and Offworld Trading Company.

3) The last games from Paradox were Hearts of Iron IV and Stellaris, both developed in-house. None of the third party games published by Paradox has an isane amount of DLC like the PDS developed one have. Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV in particular have received a flood of DLC. Crusader Kings II got 58 DLC since release and Europa Universalis IV got 42 with no end in sight. I think it's safe to assume that both Stellaris and HoI IV will be treated similar. I think it's fair to call that DLC spamming.

RaikonLance: The 10 or so people who have a computer to play this on are probably happy.

UnrealQuakie: Add one more to the list lol, But tbh There was a few I talked to who could build a pc on this site to max out these games but a lot of them just hate the new windows and bitch about privacy to not upgrade...

Well there loss.
Building a PC with the specs this game requires takes at least 1000€ where I live, unless there is more games like Ashes, I don't see why I should move off Supreme Commander for this title.
