Action-packed 3D environments!

Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space, an escape-the-room / FPS hybrid, is available for Windows and Mac OS X, now with a 25% launch discount, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space is a mix of first person shooter, puzzles and adventuring. If there's one thing it proves, it's that Sci-Fi pulp never should have died. You'll encounter everything from frisbee-shaped UFOs to giant, tentacled eyeball-monsters. The pulp comes to life with beautiful visuals (just watch that gameplay trailer, trust us), an advanced physics engine, and plenty of ways to interact with your environment. Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space is a smart thriller that just oozes atmosphere, unique charm, and quality.

With more pulp than fresh-squeezed orange juice, Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com! The 25% launch discount will last for one week, until Friday, April 17, at 9:59 AM GMT.
Looks definitely impressive.
why would you put your gamma to 0.3?
It's nice to see, for a change, something interesting made by an italian guy. There are some very talented guys in the industry nowadays, yet rarely an italian production makes something worthy that is not a casual game.

Who would have thought that all that taxing work would turn you into a bot.
Liking what I see and read a lot, and someone made a comparison to Realms of the Haunting -- a game I discovered a while ago here on GOG and instantly fell in love with --, and a sci-fi pulp RotH sounds so damn good!

Astonishing piece of work for a one-man studio, which doesn't hurt.

Still, the "escape the room" aspect of things kind of turns me off... I never really enjoyed those kinds of games, and like others before me said, I can't help but be reminded of the dreaded hidden-object games. If it is, indeed, more of a first-person adventure à lá Realms of the Haunting, then, it's definitely worth buying, but I'm wondering how much escape the room mechanics are there in the game.

Wishlisted for now, buying it as soon as I read some reviews that could shed light on the whole escape the room aspect of it.

Always good to see Day 1 releases here on GOG. Looks interesting, wishlisted.
Oh, well, I gave in and bought it, what the hell, indie devs doing awesome work by themselves deserve my support, as does GOG, so... there.

So far, I have to say I'm really impressed by the art direction and the technical quality, overall, by looking at the trailer and the screenshots I was doubting my PC would be able to run it, but, apparently, those fears were unfounded: the game runs surprisingly good on older hardware, without much graphic quality compromise.

I've only played a bit of it, but so far I'm loving it, even the campy protagonist's voice seems to fit nicely into the whole pulp vibe.

Still, not being an old game or whatever people crave on GOG these days, it will likely go unnoticed, which is a shame.
Looks pretty cool, wishlisted!
nice idea and story, if it had been made like the black mirror part one, i had bought it right away, FPS are not my cup of tea, besides i am waiting for maniac mansion and more lucas games like maniac mansion.
Or games like Tony Tough (click and point)

So is this a puzzle game or an FPS game?

Both. It's an adventure game in first-person perspective with a few shooting stages.

Sounds interesting! Does it have a windowed mode by any chance?

I didn't try it out, since I prefer to play my games fullscreen, but yes, there's a check box in the Options menu to have the game run fullscreen or windowed. I may have to try it out, but it's safe to assume it does work.
I am gonna be honest! I am not gonna get the game yet... wishlisted it and will wait till there will be more user feedback or a trusted source like TB is gonna do a video on it...
