Livestream: Escape from Hotel Izanami (-50%)

Cohabitation with a naive succubus? Well, that’s certainly the case in TroubleDays! Considered to be one of the greatest beauties in 1000 years, succubus Lovelia appears in the protagonist's life with a goal to steal his “technoforce” which her kind uses as a nourishment. Lovelia tries again and again to do so, but her innocence gets in the way of any real progress. Unless she succeeds in harvesting the technoforce of the one she has chosen to possess, she can't return home to the demon world, nor can she possess another man. And that means, for now Lovelia and the main character are stuck together.

Are any of this games essencial, of sorts? Or just lewd games? I'm new to this stuff. I'm just looking for a good story. I don't care if it has poirn on it as long as the story is good.

Medibang is actually a free illustration software geared towards illustration, comic and manga making. It's an actually decent tool and many mangaka (japanese comic artists) use it professionally. So I guess this is more aimed towards showcasing the games' art in order to get people interested in the program more than anything else.

None of these lewd games have stories worth mentioning. Evenicle could be mentioned as a good example of the little lewd game that could, because it's an actual game with decent porn on it, which is actually somewhat rare (it's just an excuse for the porn most of the times). It's a jrpg though, so if you don't like jrpgs you won't like them.


Huniepop is here and it's pure fun. The first game is very addictive. The girls even have some decent character development. The second was just bad.

Not that low effort RPG Maker crap with what looks like a ton of pre-made assets.
Theres ton of work making games in RPG maker unless you only use the base assets
so stop talking out of your arse

It doesn't matter how much work is put into a game if the end result is not good.

If you like RPG Maker games with adult contact, that's actually great because there's a lot of games on itch.io with the tags "Adult" and "RPG Maker" that are actually either free or name your own price:
153 for Windows
47 for macOS
25 for Linux

Some itch developers put a lot of effort into games then just give them away. There's really no need to pay for bad porn and that's what Kagura Games is.



Back on top of these games. They may be visual novels, but they don't look bad and that was my point.

Thanks for the releases! This is a welcome surprise. I had been hoping qureate's titles would make it here, especially Duel Princess and Livestream. But I didn't expect so many in one go!

A little sad there's no Fantasy Tavern Sextet, but hopefully that series turns up too

[edit:] Oh, wait, if these are being published by Medibang, then I hope we can get Suteki na Kanojo no Tsukurikata (aka Sutekano) here too.

Also, some people might flip their lids when finding out Medibang is, like Kagura Games, also a publisher of indie ero RPGs. Many of which are less polished than KG's titles... :P

There's really no need to pay for bad porn and that's what Kagura Games is.
On one hand, each to their own, not every game is made for every person, and that's fine.
But on the other hand, I think you're painting them all with the same brush. I'm not saying every one of KG's titles are equally incredible, but there are some actual gems in there. Ones that stand on their own as genuinely good games, that are in no way low effort if you actually tried them. Like The Heart of Darkness, or Succumate. I could list more but anyway...

In the end though, if you feel that how these games present themselves (even those 2 examples) makes them appear low effort to you then... that's your opinion. But it's not objective fact. So saying stuff like GOG shouldn't sell them based on your opinion is just.. eh.

I mean, as a recent example, lots of people want Dwarf Fortress on GOG and I've heard so much praise for the game. But to me it looks bad, I can't get over how it looks. >.< And to me that lowers my opinion of the game overall, even if it is one of the most free-form examples of emergent gameplay ever.
However! That's just me. It doesn't mean I call it garbage or low effort, and it doesn't mean it shouldn't be provided here.

Talking about these especially, there is fairly little porn compared to some other games.
And Duel Princess in example is no porn at all just fan service.

Can't really speak for the story as my info comes from reviews and some pics haven't played any of them yet.

Also RPGMaker from XP? on fully supports ruby.
You could in theory make a game completely ignoring any premade stuff.
But Devs use Premade assets and systems in UEngine or Unity too, the idea of them is to make every day things simpler.

If you like RPG Maker games with adult contact, that's actually great because there's a lot of games on itch.io with the tags "Adult" and "RPG Maker" that are actually either free or name your own price:

My point was the game engine has nothing to do with it
Theres countless low effort made games in Unreal engine as well
but unreal does not get undeserved flak just because some devs are lazy, cant be bothered to invest in their project
or because some games are scaled down because of economics or just simply devs lacking talent and creativity and ideas of their own

Did you know that you can make your own art and import it to rpg maker?
as well as making your own music and use it in a game you create?
Theres also tonn of free Rpg maker games
some better than others
and some more bad than mosts just like any other games made by using any other engines out there

Looking at the games, the only ones that look appealing to me at a glance are Duel Princess and Livestream: Escape from Hotel Izanami.

The graphics and "E-mote engine" of most of the other games look interesting, but the whole "cohabition with a hot girl" topic feels somewhat cringeworthy at my age. I could just see myself rolling my eyes for the entire duration of the gameplay and feel way outside of the target demographic for these games.

Glad to see Duel Princess finally made its way here in GOG and the rest of qureate Visual Novels/Eroges
