nightcraw1er.488: If your eating McDogPoo twice daily for weeks on end you have far bigger problems than the price of a computer game.
If you have the game on steam why do you need it on gog as well? Sound like all those cheeseburgers have melted the braincells.

tinyE: In his defense, if I have a game on Steam and it shows up here, I get it here. The ONLY reason I ever get anything on Steam is if I can't get it here.
So you just pay money for the same thing twice?

Perhaps try samaritans.

redatari: I live in the Phillipines. Is it possible to consider region friendly discounts/prices? Dos 2 is $44.99. Which equates to roughly 2 weeks of meals in my country. today 1USD= 50.88PHP. DOS2 is PHP2289.32

Basically 9 days of 2 x cheesebuger meals a day.

We have this on steam. I'd love to stay on GOG.

Thanks.

I'm not. I used mcdonalds so its relatable.

redatari: it's PHP 1239.95 on steam. I used food so its easy to relate with.
I know, and I was saying that based on the food thing it sound similarly priced to here. So what I was wondering was why you expect games to be cheaper?

Because GOG already does region pricing ie SA. I'm not asking for a discount for myself but a discount for my region who also recieves a similar discount from steam. More of us here more people I can play with.

Income here doesn't balance well for all. I don't see the current prices to be appealing for most in SEA. I get the argument that if you're poor- why game? Because gaming in all honesty its the only escape these people have vs the drudgery of living here at times.

Here in Romania regional price is even higher to US price (except on GOG with the fair price policy). And we make less than russians. Is it fair? Nope. Does anyone care? Nope.

redatari: I'm not begging. I'm just asking for the price tags to be reconsidered to match the regions. GOG is already doing it for SA.
Haven't noticed, where did you see this?

Yes, they are people you can phone if everything looks bleak and you are running of suicide, for instance if the only thing left to eat is MD, it may not be worth carrying on.

not sure comparing countries' economic situation by cheeseburger is that useful :p

if you look at some data like [1], you'll find Philippines(~7k) far below the First World countries in a similar range as Ukraine(~8k), Uzbekistan(~6k), El Salvador(~9k), Paraguy(~9k) - all of which do receive a regional discount.

So I think the request is not that unreasonable.

Of course, as noted above, there are a bunch of countries in Eastern Europe who need to pay a higher price despite the bad economic situation. It seems the idea of some sort of fairness isn't really the main idea behind regional prices :/

of course that statistics isn't quite "the answer" either, since it doesn't measure personal/household income, but it usually gives a rough measure of how "good" the economic situation is in comparison to others.

//edit:
not sure why that stupid link doesn't work

according to Magog there is one game that has a discount in South Africa:
Armikrog

funnily, that's also the only game on GOG that actually has discounts for SEA

edit1:
meh, who needs links anyway ... *sigh*

edit2:
for a overview about the GOG price regions, look here:
http://www.an-ovel.com/pages/ma_mtrc.php#TableVIII
(though that isn't 100% accurate anymore since Magog stopped tracking new releases )
