Hi guys.
Can i refund game after 30 days? I bought Darksiders 2 few months ago, and because of black squares on button prompts i was stuck on boss fight forever. I waited for patches, but apparently there won't be any. So can i ask for money back because game for me is unplayable?

Hello dzl.

Is it standard procedure to ask for a refund after 30 days? No.
Should you still try to do it? Yes and you should insist to GOG support about it, though they might only choose to refund you with GOG wallet funds instead of real money.

Hmmm... I have to ask, does the game offer a different version of protocol to output with?

I'll explain where I'm coming from. I played Rebel Galaxy, and when I did at first everything was too dark to see anything at all. Seems I had to run at DX9 or DX11 or OpenGL for it to work properly.

How is this relevant? Video card may not be playing nice. A number of games will give you an option of what API it uses, generally earlier ones are going to be faster/more compatible (fewer features).

Now if it's a problem across the board and needs a patch, not so sure, perhaps someone already has made a mod for it to deal with the problem.

Don't they always do that anyway?

OT, they might also be able to help you with your issue, dzl, so contacting them probably won't hurt either way.

Nah, it was a known issue.
They just never fixed it.

Gotcha... Guess my suggestion is moot then.

For refunds that comply with GOG's refund policies? No. You can request a real money refund.

For refunds that don't comply with GOG's refund policies? It becomes a case-by-case basis, but most of the successful ones that I heard of, have resulted in GOG wallet funds.

Oh, good to know, thank you. I've never requested a refund, so I wasn't sure.
Thanks for your answers.
Unfortunetly black squares button prompts are issue of certain game version, reverting patch#1 fixes problem but causes few gamebreaking bugs. Steam version on the other hand is fixed.
I will contact support and try to refund. I will post result of it later.
