So I've never beaten an Obsidian game or a Fallout game. I've played one of Fallout 1, 10 hours or so of fallout 3, 10 hours of fallout new vegas, and 20 or so hours of Fallout 4.

But these were always on Steam.

Just wondering what mods or patches are already on the gog version, and what other mods are recommended to have bug free, and also importantly stutter free experience?

Which has posts on mods. Otherwise look at nexus mods, they have lists of mods.
There is no one list, it's up to your personal preference.

A must ist YUP for New Vegas, it corrects a lot of bugs, which Bethesda never patched.
