Feinsanity12: I want to get into those kind of games because I'm pretty intrested on seeing how good of a leader I could be. Games like Tropico, Sim city, Stronghold. Those games where you start out with a plot of land and you can do anything from there.
Civilization series along with Alpha Centauri spin-off
Here you are the leader of civilization, so you research technologies, build cities and lead armies.
Although the economy aspect is minimalistic, as you simply choose where fund the city and pick up buildings from the list
The Settlers series
Quite opposite of civilization, the economy is more develop, and you have full freedom, where to put buildings, well except the mines, but it is understable.
The Knights and Merchants
Similar to the settlers, but here the military is quite evolved as there are different types of units and realistic.
