Good day! I'm looking to enter some much older realms and stomping grounds that were available for the early Macintosh. I have a few of the older titles in my library already and I could be mistaken, but I'm not seeing the Mac versions being available here. Earlier Might and Magic, Wizardry, and quite a few other titles that were available during the late 80s and early 90s.
I might be mistaken, and, please, correct me, if so, but I'm vaguely remembering the earlier Macintosh versions for many of these older titles having slightly better graphics (more pixels basically?) than other versions. Am I missing anything here where these versions are being made available? I'm aware of Windows and DOS emulators that are available for the Macintosh, but I'm specifically wondering about versions that were made for the Macintosh. Outside of having fewer gaming titles being made for the early Macintosh (and, thus, likely receiving less mod support) were the Macintosh versions of most of the earlier titles inferior in any ways?
Also, relating to the early Macintosh (I think, at least), I've been trying to track down two titles that were available in the early 90s. One was a top down dungeon crawler, very similar to The Dungeon of Doom and sequel, that had a system of saving various characters and making loot transferable that was similar to how the "Inns" worked in the early Might and Magic and Wizardry series. The other was a very early 3d (I think) RPG where the characters could start out in a location that was just south and below a small hill with a ruins that had a couple of broken towers within. Skeletons and gnolls were in the ruins. Just to the east and slightly below the ruins was a hidden dungeon, with at least floors, that had one of the main bosses at the end of it. Any help in tracking these two down would be greatly appreciated.
