Simple question, if i were to, for example, edit my save files in a game for fun, how would i turn off the cloud, so it does not get corrected.

I've tried googling a bit, but got no results so far.

Go to the game in Galaxy.
More > Settings > Sync local saves with GOG Galaxy Cloud

There is no such option, would that mean that the game doesn't have cloud compatability and therefor does not use the cloud anyways?

Ah, ok. Thanks for the quick answer.
go offline when you are playing the game and it wont sync however i dont know if it syncs all games once you go online again if so then after exiting the game (while offline) go to the saves folder for that game and cut and paste it somewhere else like on your desktop and when you want to play that save again just go offline and paste it back in

A practical advice, but it might be a bit more productive to install a software firewall (if one isn't already installed) and temporarily disallow Galaxy from using the Internet, while all other programs (browsers etc.) can still be online.

There is also a second option. Download and install an "offline backup" version of the game, and then do whatever experiments are necessary with that installation. This should work fine as long as this installation doesn't use the same savegame folder as Galaxy does.

PS: I hope the guy found his answer sometime between January and now...

Or shut Galaxy down and run the game without it until you're done with your altered save file.
Well... Is it just me, or is the cloud saving option mandatory (as in not untickable) in XCOM Enemy Unknown, as well as the use of Galaxy to install it?

I can turn cloud saves off. What do you mean "Galaxy mandatory to install it"? Have the offline installers vanished for you? I can seen them fine in my library.

Arise, thread!

Hegemony 3 Clash of the Ancients

Same question. Syncing takes a good 15-20 seconds. I want to just save locally. and play right away. I have no 'More...' button. Please help.
My CP2077 still makes cloud saves and i have turned it of in both...

GOG Galaxy/Cyberpunk 2077/Settings/Manage installation/Configure/Features (unchecked the box for cloud saves)
GOG Galaxy/Settings/Game features (unchecked the box cloud saves)

...and i cant even delete cloud saves, it says "Can not delete a cloud synced save file" when i try to do it in-game.

GOG Galaxy need to be fixed!

For those who search for this:

manage installation
configure
features
uncheck cloud saves
