Before anyone tells me, yes, I have used the search box before posting this. I'm not new to forums. I always use them. But, I have tried opening the threads, but they would crash in each attempt. I can't even open the latest one posted on April this year. So I don't know if the admins said anything about it. I'm sure it won't surprise me if they said they don't have any plans or if the devs don't want to give up their games to this site. Or if it's just not possible. Either way, I just like to know if it WOULD be possible for Black & White to come into GoG. I had a copy of Black & White 2, but I lost it. (F***!) And never got to play it at the time because I didn't have a good PC to run it. So I would definitely like to see the series come into this site. If not, does anyone know where I can find them? I can always shop for them online, but I just prefer downloading them.

Sorry for this post. I don't like posting a thread of the same topic if there has been others done already. But like I said, I couldn't open them. Thanks in advance for your answers.

MetalGearOpz: *snip*
Black & White 1 and 2 are respectively number 5 and 17 on the Community Wishlist, so you can be damned sure the reason they aren't here is not that GOG doesn't think they will sell well.

While I am not entirely sure, I do believe that the Black & White IP is owned by Microsoft now. Since Microsoft has so far not seen fit to grace GOG.com with any of its games, I wouldn't hold my breath about it coming here. Still, the same has been said about many other major publishers which are nevertheless selling some of their games here now, so you never know. At any rate, it is a long-established policy of GOG never to reveal anything about any potential negotiations they are engaging in, so if the games ever do show up here, chances are you won't know about it until the day it actually happens.
They will come here eventually. Sometime ago I wouldn't even fantasize about a lot of games to come here, but GOG and the respective companies surprised us in a good way. So, for me it isn't about IF they'll come but WHEN.

Stay tuned.

Sure there is a chance, but if GOG know anything, they won't say a single word about it, before its release.

According to a PC Gamer article, Microsoft's acquisition of Lionhead didn't come with the Black and White IP, which means that EA might own it (partially or fully).

I have the disc for #1 and it seriously needs an overhaul. Nothing major, but a little nip and tuck here and there.
There are some people who desperately would like to see the Black & White games come to the GOG store, as evidenced by the wishlist as some have mentioned. At the same time there are people who don't think this is possible, and some folks explicitly don't want these games to come here. I wish it could be as simple as that, but unfortunately it's much more complicated and not so black and white.

:)

Hmm, that is a bit odd. This analysis of the IP, while not explicitly stating that Microsoft did acquire the Black & White IP along with Lionhead, seems to imply that they did:

Ultimately, Black & White’s potential as a major games franchise was damaged – possibly irredeemably – by its flawed sequel, and it’s likely that most of Microsoft’s estimated $40m valuation of Lionhead Studios was based on bringing the Fable IP (and also Peter Molyneux himself) in-house. It’s unlikely that the Black & White intellectual property rights featured prominently in the valuation, and it is still unknown whether any further Black & White games will be produced.
Edit:
Of course, a partial ownership would be the worst possible situation for all concerned. That is more or less a rock-solid guarantee that an IP is permanently dead, never again to see the light of day, at least until someone can regain complete ownership of it.

Well, thanks for the reply. :) At this point, if the Microsoft store will have it, I'd be happy with that. Though I would doubt it. lol
