teceem: I only have some freebees on EGS (DRM-free and zipped up). The other ones I'm interested are likely (or sure) to come to GOG when exclusivity ends.
Were you not interested in Metro Exodus? (it's fine, I'm just curious)

Something else you might do is link this thread on the r/gog subreddit, unless you don't use Reddit and have no interest in doing so.

(and of course folks could try contacting Quantic Dream directly about GOG releases)

could certainly be possible

I don't know... from reviews I got the impression that it's more of a 'shooter' than previous instalments (which I have but still haven't really played enough).
I would like to see Detroit: Become Human here on GOG.
Always wanted to try these games. they look really beautiful. hopefully this is a sign of good things!
I feel kind of dirty - actually spent money in 2 of the 3 cases not directly) on the Epic Games Store - bought Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition and The Outer Worlds (both 57% off @ GMG.. couldn't say no at that price) and The Outer Wilds (courtesy of an EGS voucher I had)

It seems that once installed through the EGS launcher both The Outer Worlds and The Outer Wilds are DRM Free if run directly from the game executable - meanwhile BL3 is Denuvo'd

I'd consider picking up Quantum Dreams / Sony titles from EGS IF they are DRM free... wouldn't hold my breath for either/both of that and/or a release on GOG though.

Read the earlier posts here and you'll find out! (they're not)

rjbuffchix: Another strike against EFS and why I refer to it as a DRMed store despite some games apparently being able to be DRM-free.
avatar
teceem: EGS doesn't have its own DRM and the percentage of DRM-free games is A LOT higher than on Steam (but probably not in absolute numbers). But... like Steam (and most other stores), they don't inform customers on the "DRM-status" of their games.
You're right but that last sentence is my motivation for calling them a DRMed store. It is kind of a shorthand I use, I don't mean to imply all (or even necessarily the majority) of releases on there are DRMed. Just that the store couldn't care less about DRM-free.

Thanks, I just voted for them. :)

I think Steam has conditioned enough people so that for some companies, the illusion of DRM (the launcher, and the missing DRM-free promise) actually serves the same purpose. Maybe that explains why some DRM-free games are sold on Steam and Epic, but not here.

I don't know if it was you or someone else but I sort of recall seeing this suggestion on the forums here before...definitely plausible.

Hey, Square Enix and Rockstar, I bet no one would even notice if you made your games DRM-free on those stores!

Sure some people will notice, and write about it, and then more people will know. But it will still be a relatively small amount of people.
Like when somebody, not active on this forum, posts here. Most of them seem to not know about the offline installers. GOG has "hidden" them away a bit, but you could hardly call it a secret.
