How often do we have to celebrate Bethesda without anything new worth celebrating? It's just difficult without Fallout 4, Doom, and their No Man's Sky clone (I forgot the name of it) coming our way. Another potential cause for celebration could be if GOG and Bethesda offered a 'You got'ta own 'em all' super-bundle with a substantial discount.

However, without any of these, we are left with the same old, same old, and the realization that we may never see the games we wish for released in your shop, GOG. I'm not putting blame on anyone here; it's just the way it is - and whoever wants to buy any of their more recent games must turn to St. Elsewhere.

Why can I still not buy Quake 3 and Quake 4 in Germany?

Hi, quoting, "This game is too violent for Germany, so it's illegal here"

I'm someone else waiting for...

Rage
Fallout 4
Doom

then later...
Rage 2
Doom Eternal
Ghostwire: Tokyo
You know what Bethesda... this is me doing a fire dance (I get a few burns to get to that stage) https://youtu.be/onHr2GhP6Pk I made you wait 25 mins to see it, even knowing this is many years old movie recorded by one of the Gogers in South UK ... like games, you have... years old games, let us see it! ^ don`t make me come to https://goo.gl/maps/Q8hFLhUcDvLVrMg48 and dance in front of your headquarters, these are flammable substances and I will be handled like Banksy in Hollywood... You made games that Germans are afraid to show to their children... other countries play and are OK :D We like you Bethesda... This is all for New Games from You...We hope you appreciate it... This is GOG.com, the place for people you want to be liked by :D Entirely different place.
What's to celebrate? The same stagnant releases most people already have? Wake me when Betashed stops being shit and drops something new here...

Ask your country leaders. ;)
I'm curious.

The main page's game card for Doom now states that it's the 1993 version. Did GOG always used to make that notice during sales?
If GOG doesn't sell the 2016 remake, what's the point anyway?

Or am I reading too much into something which has always been there to begin with (and I never took notice)?

This is something that changed at the last Bethesda sale, leading g everyone to believe that DOOM 2016 was coming. They were wrong then. It seems like they might still be wrong now.

Thanks. I really hadn't noticed (or maybe I did and just forgot).
I suppose we may get Doom2016 in 2029.
We can celebrate when Bethesda gives us something to celebrate. Like new games.

If I remember correctly, they adopted Doom (1993) badge title when they began to include the Enhanced Edition of Doom as part of Ultimate Doom.

Hoping for Wolfenstein to someday get those rights issues worked out.
Disappointing but not surprising. At least Bethesda has been better to us in recent years than several other AAA publishers.

Maybe we'll get something significant from Bethesda for GOG's 15th anniversary.

They weren't just renamed at GOG, but at Steam and Epic etc too. So not DOOM 2016 related.
My recollection says it was more to do with the free addition to our libraries of the Enhanced Editions of Doom, for those that owned those games.

------------------------------------------

Yep, another disappointing Bethesda Sale, because of nothing new.

Surely virtually every customer at GOG have all their available games here now. These sales without anything new, must be reaping less and less profit for both GOG and Bethesda. It would only be those with limited funds still buying what they haven't yet been able to afford.

Be nice if GOG finally fixed the show as owned issue with many of Bethesda's games.

Perhaps GOG are using some counting method that is flawed and the games I actually have at GOG are not showing as such for their statistical purposes. And so they and Bethesda wrongly think there are more of their games to sell than there are in reality.

Currently for me, the following do not show up as owned, yet I have them all at GOG as separate parts or in a collection.

Dishonored: Complete Collection

Prey: Digital Deluxe Edition

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition

The Evil Within: Season Pass

Wolfenstein II: The Freedom Chronicles - Episode 1

Wolfenstein II: The Freedom Chronicles - Episode 2

Wolfenstein II: The Freedom Chronicles - Episode 3

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Digital Deluxe Edition

For sure, I know this issue is not limited to just Bethesda games, and even many of GOG's own CDPR games suffer the same problem as well.
