QuakeCon 2025 Sale -> No new release!

Where is Brink, Deathloop, Ghostwire - Tokyo, Hi-Fi Rush, Hunted, Rage, Rage 2, Rogue Warrior and Wolfenstein - Youngblood ?

Come on guys, I don't ask for more Doom, Indy or Starfield, but the old stuff. :)

Ziggurat-Week -> No new release!

Where is: Central Intelligence, Crisis in the Kremlin, Marco Polo, The Great Escape, Zyconix (bring it back!) ?

What next? Back-to-School-Sale with... let me guess ... no new classic releases? :-»

As much as I'm excited about some great releases here this year, such as

- NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound
- Primal Planet
- The Drifter
- RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business
- The Alters
- EVERSPACE™ 2 - Wrath of the Ancients
- World of Goo 2
- Reus 2
- Deliver At All Costs
- Crow Country
- JDM: Japanese Drift Master
- Coridden

there are unfortunately still many interesting classics missing.

Maybe you'll surprise us later this afternoon...

No excitement about the release of Lego City Undercover? That was the best release of the year for me.

And today is the release day of "Gradius Origins" on some other platforms. GOG and Konami could maky me VERY happy with a release here.

Sure, absolutley! But this is exactly the kind of classic release for me, and I would like to have a lot more of it. :D

DRM-Killer-Releases this year according to my own news list...

- Devil May Cry HD Collection + Devil May Cry 4
- Doom (2016)
- Lego City Undercover
- The Lego Movie - Videogame 1 & 2
- The Lego Ninjago - Videogame

Not as many as I'd like, and the number is decreasing. Well, I'm not giving up hope. :)
We're always hoping, but I don't know if we've ever actually gotten a Bethesda release at the start of Quakecon.

I guess AAA publishers hate GOG with the fury of a thousand suns. ;) Why hasn't EA given us the old C&C games? They were giving us stuff a decade ago.

It looks like we'll get some cool updates though.

Edit: man quite a few Ziggurat games have middling or poor ratings.

:-D

but do they also hate our money in our gaming piggy bank? :)
speaking of QuakeCon, heard a rumors that there's Quake 3 remaster in the making. maybe by NightDive even. no proofs, though.

I'd be happy for Q3R to have all the console-exclusive content... but afraid that it ends up KEX-only, incompatible with, say, Quake3e...
It had been nice to see Doom Eternal get released on GOG for the Quakecon sale but I suppose I'm happy that we at least got DOOM (2016) released this year.
This Ziggurat week sale is confusing, because I got a coupon via email which... just gives me the same discount for the games that is on the store right now?

Probably gonna be at least a year before we see Doom Eternal...... Rage maybe would have been a better bet?
Hey! Just found out what new thing we got from id software. Heretic + Hexen Remastered.

https://www.gog.com/en/game/heretic_hexen

According to the store page write up, you'll get the following:

Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders
Hexen: Beyond Heretic
Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel
Two all-new episodes created in collaboration between individuals at id Software Nightdive Studios:
Heretic: Faith Renewed
Hexen: Vestiges of Grandeur

And if anyone already owned any of the original games in this package then you'll get this entire bundle of games added to your library for free.
That's great, but I still miss a complete new release :)
