I'm a massive Quake fan, I loved the first one and both packs along with 2 and there packs.. Quake 4 is still is one of my favorite singleplayer FPS games. And Quake 3 Arena is by far the better arena shooter when compared to the massive scale of Unreal Tournament.

Now while Champions looks fantastic, the market is just full of multiplayer only shooters... DOOM 2016 alone has nearly everything someone would need... And if you are craving that fast paced insanity Epic has your answer coming very soon.

Following DOOM I feel iD and Beth should have just made Quake 5 or rebranded it, told the story with a modern engine... techno-horror, alien marines, just a messy good fragfest in the design of Quake 2 with the grit and pace of DOOM. We have so few good singleplayer FPS games with a long cohesive story out there. I really wanted to fight some Strogg again :(

Shadow Warrior 2 is about as good as we'll get it seems... and maybe Prey, but I've been down that road before...
