First of all, I'm aware there was sale last week... but many "old new" games have less reviews than on steam... consider posting the review for some games you purchased during last sale.
Not only it helps future buyers, but it help GOG.

I'm pretty sure all the reviews worth writing for older titles on GOG were already written. Sure, you might have to sift though the nostalgia wank, but many of the critical reviews are free of rose tints.

IE: There are several critical reviews for Call to Power 2 that point out how awful the UX is.

I wasn't talking about those games, but indie games that underselled on GOG...

I can't give you better example
and while I was looking for gog catalogue during the sale many *popular* games on steam lacked gog overal rating (the one at top), but can't pinpoint them now.

You do realize the vastly broad difference in sheer audience size and how many Steam Reviews are outright worthless and childish?
If you're looking at newer additions, there's the very important fact that a proper review tends to require actually finishing the game, and that may well take a while... And that GOG's review character limit prevents serious reviews from being posted anyway, the redesign breaking the workaround too :/
The lack of a delete or edit review feature prevents me from writing more.

This. The fact that the only way to edit a review once posted is contacting Support so they can do it for you puts me off. :(

Wasn't aware of this until just now, but knowing this to be the case I'd definitely be more hesitant since I have an absurdly bad habit of dropping entire words out of sentences, re-reading after a submission and then scrambling for the edit function to fix it. Knowing I'd have to wait here on GOG for staff to issue corrections would drive me past the point of no return.

I suppose there's always the option of "write gooder" but I struggle to hit mediocre on my best days.
Usually, when I finish a game or feel like I've got a good grasp on its gameplay and story, I write a review. I need to keep it up, though, because I enjoy writing and I try to be really detailed. Hopefully my reviews will help some people out.
I am very reluctant to write more GOG reviews because:

a) GOG doesn't let users edit their own reviews, which is absolutely ludicrous.

b) GOG retroactively ruined the reviews when they wrecked the site for the 10th Anniversary by removing the paragraph breaks and also changing all the & symbols into strange nonsense characters. A year and half or so later they fixed the paragraph breaks, yet they never fixed the & problem, and it seems like they never will.

GOG really should solve both of those problems. If/when it does that, then it will start getting more customers writing reviews.
I want to say that I am in full agreement with the author of the topic. I've been doing this with most of the games I complete. I haven't done it with everyone yet, but I'll make it quick.

* It is really annoying not to be able to edit the analysis, mainly because sometimes you do a negative analysis due to a series of problems in a game but eventually an update occurs and this is resolved, and you cannot go there to correct your grade and words .

I absolutely agree with this. I gave The Witcher 3 a 3-star review way back when as it didn't sink in for me until later, and I really hate the fact that I can't go back and edit it. I also hate that there isn't a page that lists the reviews I've written so I can go back and re-read them as time goes on. Plus, a 3k character limit doesn't really encourage me to be concise, it just makes me feel super limited as I tend to go into deeper detail when I write my reviews.

Agreed. I honestly don't get why they never bothered to add those features in the first place.
