How does my lack of proper proof-reading due to hastily posting responses indicate "ChatGPT?" Weird conclusion.

1) Well, that's good. Let's see how you contradict yourself.
2) Or you could just do as most of us do, shrug at most AAA games, because there really haven't been many worth playing that don't fall into the pits of Forever Hells/GaaS.
3) True, version parity is often a problem here. So, why want for new titles then?
4) That's a rather novel concern. I'd be more concerned about the management driving a stake though the heart as they try and go for infinite growth instead of stable reliance.
5) & 6) Are contradictory points. 🕱 I also dislike GOG Galaxy, but would prefer it to be peeled back to a far simpler form.
Your proposal is an absolute hash of things. Not only would it break one of the remaining reasons for anyone to bother staying here, GOG doesn't have that kind of fulcrum. I would prefer that GOG prioritize the offline installers and leave achievement hunters in the rain.
Your reasoning won't, but let's see your rhetoric.
A) Or maybe they could be the defacto, with client functionality a nice extra.
B) No they won't. Especially not the aforementioned Forever Hells or GaaS. We don't even have Civ 1 & Civ II, much less Civ V or VI, even though we know the next one is inbound.
C) A fine stipulation if GOG's systems were able to account for such a thing, and had a patching process which even approached the ease of use of other game stores.
D) Is this really what people want? I want a better review system, forums with actual formatting tools, and maybe the sense that I know what the staff are working on.
E) I'd rather they budget more wisely to the aforementioned desires.
F) Designate my feet. Why should I be treated even worse than users of that gilded birdcage of a client, especially when I'm a user of an OS where the client doesn't even exist‽
Your reasoning is like swiss cheese that met the wrong end of buckshot: It's full of holes, strangely warm, and mostly is in pieces. I don't care about the latest and greatest games, I care about Moraff's MoreJongg.

Well, I've heard the nay-sayers point of view. Gonna let the topic rest for a while to see if there are any who like the idea. (I'm ok if there are none who do, btw.)
Addendum: To the most previous poster, you and others keep listing all the problems that GOG currently causes for you. My proposal does nothing to fix OR extend those problems, at least not immediately or directly. However, it doesn't force to you to change anyting. Its doesn't cause GOG to be for you anything more or less than it already is. In short, the proposal is NOT for you or anyone who shares your focus. The proposal is for those who would like MORE options and better choices, while still retaining everything about GOG that we appreciate, namely DRM-free titles (eventually). Again, while it may not alleviate your specific issues with GOG, it also doesn't (necessarily) add to them, either. And, in my opinion, it certainly isn't GUARANTEED to add to them, if implemented. My desire is to give better options for those of us (who are many) who buy through STEAM or others (occasionally) to avoid waiting a decade or more for games that we want to play (regardless if YOU think they're worth it or not) and who also want eventual DRM-free variants. My desire is to see GOG increase its profitability so the day doesn't have to come where we no longer have access to our current offline installers AND have absolutely no hope of getting any in the future, all because GOG couldn't sustain itself against the competition (the subject of which several topics in this forum have already discussed). You're crapping on my idea but offering nothing of your own to satisfy the problems outlined. You're only asserting your problems as having the greater priority over mine. And that's your right to have that opinion. But, if you're going to engage with me in good faith, then I'd appreciate you offering suggestions about how to solve the issues I'VE discussed instead of just crapping on them and saying YOUR issues are more important. If that's your primary concern, then respectfully, start your own thread.

Hey! Thanks for sharing but I have to lock the thread. It's already starting to go off the rails. Feel free to continue the discussion in DMs.
