No demons will stop the Lone Warlock this Halloween! Or will they?

The spookiest day of the spookiest month is almost upon us. Because of that, we’ve joined forces with Project Warlock to deliver you an awesome contest in addition to the game’s special bundle deal on GOG.

If you’d like to win 1 of 10 keys for Project Warlock I + II Bundle and 1 of 3 BIG BOX Releases of Project Warlock containing stickers, poster, goodie bag, steel pins, custom buckshot USB and of course BIG BOX itself, all signed by legendary John Romero and game’s showrunner Jakub Cisło, all you have to do is answer us one question:

What kind of demon would you create to stop the Lone Warlock from saving the earth?

You can give us your answers by November 2nd, 11 PM UTC on GOG Forum or under appropriate Facebook and Twitter posts. All the details and contest rules can be found HERE.

Show us what twisted monsters are hidden in your imagination!
I would summon a cute white bunny that would tickle the Warlock to death, and read him a bed time story.

Based on the enemies in episode 5, I'd put against him Cerberus: a giant three-headed dog, black fur but with blood-red muscles pumping without flesh, and on top of that with cybernetic implants. Two in place of the posterior legs to sprint close to you when he sees you, but more importantly, his three heads show a progression from completely demonic to completely cybernetic: his left head is all muscle and fur, as you'd expect from the guardian dog of Hell. His middle one has only a steel lower jaw and a red, cybernetic right-eye. Finally his right head is completely mechanical, with tubes and bolts adorning sharp steel teeth and red laser eyes, with the ability to shoot rockets from its mouth.

All of them. I'm not sure a single demon type alone would be enough to stop the Warlock, but all of them just might do the trick. Or at least offer a starting point for Project Warlock 3.
A very wise and strong Demon would be the choice, one with the ability to anticipate warlock's attacks and adapts his strategy to effecively counter warlock and with huge life bar as compared to warlock. He would be a great foe.
An ocean of soul eating demonic bacteria.
A fog demon, so big it encompasses the whole level / map where it is.

It won't be killable and neither will it be able to kill the Warlock.
It will numb the Warlock's senses, mess with his direction and create illusions of all sorts to deviate him from his path while giving more chances for other demons to do their job.

It can be put at bay, in a small area, using fire but even that won't last for long...
It's not something that will for sure stop the warlock directly but could potentially keep him from progressing until his demise comes.
This demon would need creativity in order to keep the Lone Warlock on his toes and steady guessing. A demon that can hide his true form, with the ability to duplicate itself. which can only be seen if a soul has double crossed him or wishes to die or has summoned him as a true believer. Normal humans would die or have their souls taken once seeing his true form. The demon would be able to shape shift the forms of different people, but only by those who have summoned him or true believers of the dark side that wish to be possessed. These are the only people that would not die by seeing the demon's true form, but as a gift for using their body, he consumes their soul as his eternal dark minions. Once he is done with the body, the body will be hollow as if it were dead. Only pure souls, such as certain spiritual humans would be able to resist and not die from the demon. The demon plays on the minds of its prey so it can persuade people to do its bidding, but only if they are weak minded and carrying guilt wishing to be punished deep down, feeling unworthy to live and exist. The Lone Warlock may be tricked to some extents, but he knows this friendly looking person is not friendly or a friend! Just some backstory to the demon. By the way, the demon in it's true form is not as elegant as its powers. Just a bit of lore, backstory. It has a set of large wings, 4 arms, 3 eyes, large hands and hoofed feet, standing around 8 feet tall, and anger issues! The Lone Warlock can only face the demon to fight after defeating the duplicates.

A negative mirror image of the Lone Warlock that will skew the player's controls the opposite way. Look up and the Lone Warlock will look down instead, strafe left and he will go to the right.

This will surely crank up the difficulty level by more than a single notch while injecting so much needed novelty to the FPS genre!
A baby demon carrying an evil rattle that sends explosive fetuses away and devours its victim's face in close combat !
A (t)rump supporter as they truly destroy everything they touch from the inside out and spread worse then cockroaches
The devil should be the unique representation of a whole (the malleable representation of many beings) so it is adaptable and will always be there, instead of killing it disarms, minimizes and enclosures
What kind of demon would you create to stop the Lone Warlock from saving the earth?

I would create: The Seven Princes of Hell because they are the highest and most powerful of all demons, regardless of their origins. They represents each of the seven deadly sins, Lust, Gluttony, Pride, Sloth, Envy, Greed, and Wrath. The leader of the princes is Lucifer, who is the Supreme Ruler of Hell, whose authority is beyond that of any other demons, with his most loyal follower Beelzebub by his side...
The Seven Princes of Hell are the highest authority in Hell even above the Ars Goetia and any other demon and Fallen Angel. The Lone Warlock will have no chance against such great power...
Absolutely phenomenal opportunity here! Thanks for giving me a moment to flex the mind muscles here, you guys :)

I would personally create a Space-Time Paradoxical Duplicating Demon. It lures the Lone Warlock into what appears to be an alternate path that looks as mundane and simple as any other chamber, then it appears before the wizard: a short, weak looking creature at first, that can only tackle the Warlock and does minimal damage. Then the true horror sinks in- the chamber doors completely disappear, and can only return if the Warlock can survive for one minute without taking any damage. The creature keeps coming closer to the Warlock, and any time it does damage, or any time that it's attacked, a second copy emerges with the same effects. The madness sinks in as it becomes more and more difficult to avoid the Duplicating Demon, with each copy of the demon looking more and more demented as it comes to understand the damage it's doing to the Warlock . Even with as minimal damage as it does, the damage keeps stocking up with each copy that forms upon an attack, until it's completely filled the room and depleted the Warlock of his health. Yet even upon death the madness doesn't end, as the Warlock regenerates in the same room with the Demon in its singular form! The Warlock becomes locked in this path until he can either survive for a full minute or until his spirit is completely broken.

May be a bit of a crazy concept, but I honestly think that a novel mechanic like this could really screw with players in an interesting and engaging way. It would honestly be awesome to get a couple game copies for this phenomenal franchise, but I just honestly am glad to share a little of my gaming philosophy with this cool site. Thanks again!

The Norovirus Demon.

Can't fight demons if you need to run for the toilet every 5 minutes, now can you?
The Demon Ant Legion

What is more horrifying than an a Legion of Ants that can pick apart large mammals?
A DEMONIC Legion of Ants that can pick apart anything in seconds.

Each ant twice the size of the largest Ant Species and infused with Demonic Energies, this Swarm is able to consume any and all kinds of Flesh, even amongst Demons and Devils they are given a wide berth due to their insatiable hunger.

Are they a natural Demon? Or where they merely a few Army Ant Colonies infused with Demonic Energy for some Nefarious purpose? Who knows, but it would be wise for all to give such a thing a wide berth.
