Hi,

just bought the Uprising: Join or die. It wont start. Shows the small splash screen and windows says the application stopped working.

Anybody else having these issues?

My comp is:

i7-2700k
16Gb ram
Gtx 750 ti
Windows 10 home

Tried installing directx 9.0c.
Also did you try different compability mode.Maybe windows 10 needs an update,but this time nothing here says so.Also your graphic driver is it up to date.
Out of ideas now i didn't buy this game.

It looks like people with Win10 and Win7 are having problems with Uprising. Was anyone able to get the game to work on Win7?

For me its working like a charm on Win 10 Pro.If you got some background app that you dont need,try closing it and restarting the game.Cheers

Is this game known to have issues with Win10?

The game won't start for me either. 2 Uprising tabs show up in the task bar and grabs full focus of Win10. I'm force to to CtrlAltDel to End Task on the Uprising .exe to get out of it.

Tried several compatibility settings, no joy.

Any help would be....helpful.

Did you try all the usual?
- install the game outside windows folders e.g. To c:/mygames
- run it without galaxy
- enabled direct play
- installed the correct version of directx

If so, contact support as win 10 is a supported os they should help.

Well, it runs well on Fall Creator's Update of Windows 10 Home 64-bit. My installation's only compatibility settings are that it needs to run as administrator, and that's all. Nglide options are all on default, and Legacy Component DirectPlay is indeed installed.

Two windows will appear at startup; one of them is the loading splash that follows after you execute the game using the GOG launcher.

I know, that I am late to the party, but I have recently bought this game (because 90s nostalgia) and encountered the same black screen issue. In my case the reason was GeForce Experience overlay - after turning it off, everything works fine.
