I just created an entry on the community wishlist.

Since I thought, the issue at hand might be interesting for some others here, I wanted to make a thread about it, in which I would have liked to link to the wishlist entry.

However: I can't find my entry.

So my question is: does it take a while for the entry to be shown publicly (though I got the entry shown as if it was public, already)?

Or is there a possibility that it didn't got saved?

And: is there any way at all to find my own wishlist entries?

Any help is appreciated.
I dont recall any way to find your own wishlist entry on site.

Even by listing each category by "most recently active" I cant seem to find anything you've put up.
There's a search box on the left of each of the three wishlist categories.
Select the category you want, then type in what you want to search for in the top search box on the left...

Yeah, that's my problem.
I'm in the correct sub section (features) and set the filter to "most recently active" and then enter my entry's title in the search mask...but to no avail.

Would you say, it's save to assume that the entry wasn't taken over by GOG's forum software?

Or do you, by any chance, know, if there is usually a delay between creating an entry and that entry being publicly visible?

Doesn't bring up anything (see above).

i have no idea...but considering how broken everything is...
Ok, so I tried to create the same entry for a second time. Still not searchable/findable via the WL search function.

I guess, I'll wait for tomorrow to see if there's simply a delay between creating an entry and it actually getting publicly available.

Thanks to Sachys and Trooper1270 for their help.

Yeah...I guess, I'll find out tomorrow.
By searching 'site:gog.com/wishlist <yourname>' on DuckDuckGo, I was presented with 5 wishlist entries which you interacted with.
3 of those - you commented
2 - you created
But judging from your post, the one(two?) you recently made was neither of those 2.
Perhaps it really does take time to show up.

Anyway, using the above may help finding your own wishes. However, it also includes the ones the user commented with, so it'll be messy for some.

Fun fact: I didn't even remember the two wishes regarding the game and the movie...that's one stroll down memory lane. :)

Thank you for that alone, already.

And I'm pretty sure that I did comment on more than just three occasions.

But the most revealing fact of it all (if the search results are in any way trustworthy - which is doubtful) is, that GOG shows that I created 3 WL entries in total (see attachment).

That would be the movie, the game - and then one feature (which I can only find, because I remember exactly, what I wished for).

Of course - all things combined - that then also means, my newest entry didn't make it over the finish line (so far).

Because that would have been WL entry #4.

Indeed, but all your other wishes did got saved, so I don't think this one will be different. (but could be)
Wouldn't take too long hopefully.

Searching for myself, I got 8 wishes I commented on, and none of the 3 wishes I created. One of them I can find pretty easily, because I remember the subject, but the other two are low-voted (at the bottom of the list) whose exact titles I forgot and whose subjects were too generic, anyway. I have to "Load more wishes" many, many times before they appear (searching helps narrow it down a bit; I found wish #2 pretty quickly by searching for "forum"). I'm guessing duckduckgo only gets the first page of votes. To be fair, google shows even fewer hits.
I think they are sorted by the most number of votes (unless it's recent activity). So you'd never find a newly made wishlist, unless a lot of people saw it or upvoted it so you have probably.... 500+ votes.

I tried both of you on DDG and Google, here's what came up:

darktjm
DuckDuckGo - 6 results [6 commented, none created]
Google - 3 results [2/6 same result above, 1 created]

BreOl72
DuckDuckGo - 5 results [3 commented, 2 created]
Google - 3 results [3/3 same result above, 0 created]
On DuckDuckGo, I managed to filter the result to only those 2 created that it caught previously by searching:
site:gog.com/wishlist intitle:"added by BreOl72" (doesn't work on Google)
This would probably make the results cleaner to those who have long results.

I didn't tested other search engines, but so far this does seem unreliable.

Lazarus_03: I didn't tested other search engines, but so far this does seem unreliable.
Yeah, it's not 100% reliable.

I tried it with five different search engines (https://ibb.co/5TwNMS3 picture too big to be attached), and the result was: three of them (DuckDuckGo /Bing /Yahoo) show five search results (three comments/ two requests), and two of them (Yandex /Google) only show three search results (the same three comments).

All these search engines only show two of my three (technically: four now) requests.

Btw: I also checked just now if my latest entry was activated in the meantime - nope.

So yeah...looks like if I want my request added, I have to try harder.

There seems to be some bug/glitch that prevents the request from getting properly stored.

I attached a picture of the address that shows up, after the entry is made - only that's the exact same address that you see before you create that entry.

So there's definitely some hiccup in the process.

I tried it for a third time - and now it finally worked...
