Hello

First of all thanks and congratulations for launching the steam connect program.
You might also want to provide regional pricing of games like steam does in INR (India).
At times the same game is available for a lot less in retail market in India.
Steam made this transition.
I understand that this might not be possible due to whatever financial laws you guys need to take care of.
But this would be really great.

ex. no man's sky costs ~60$ dollars here but 1700INR ~= 25$ here.

Regards

Always nice to see a fellow Indian here. :)
I don't think it would be economically viable for GOG to do that now given their consumer base in India is small compared to what steam has. I'm sure they will offer INR at some point but I don't think it will be here for at least another year or two. (Since it seems like they want to cover the currencies of their strongest markets first)

Also from what I've seen people in our country don't buy unless it has multiplayer or requires connection to official servers, they think it is foolish to pay when they can pirate. So I don't assume GOG would appeal much to them as long as the mindset remains the same.

True. It's hard to change a pirate's mind set.
And then they say game is a bad console to PC port.
That's why some of title never got released to PC.
But some people do it "just to save bucks".

As you said you can get games cheaply on steam.
Since GOG connect is launched you can buy all your favorite games dirt cheap on steam and wait for it to appear on GOG connect!!! ;)

Btw I have seen some news that G2A is selling keys on Amazon.in and Flipkart!!!
Now that's ironic.

Sure I can purchase on steam and then get it on GOG. But I believe that GOG needs more ways to appeal to Indian market. People buy from Flipkart and retail stores. I have been buying since I started earning :D

The reason Steam offers lower prices in India is because the game is published in India at a lower price. Like the ones you see on Flipkart (Bye Bye FlipKart :D). So GOG can do the same and I believe people like me would jump to GOG.
I love the company behind GOG and their belief about drm free games.

:)

p.s. gog confirmed they wont be going with INR any time soon. meaning they havent thought of it. :P
