Crosmando: .....
This bit alone from that link makes the game thing make sense: "Aggregated data of absolute strength indicates that females have, on average, 40–60% the upper body strength of males, and 70–75% the lower body strength."

(Although they really should've given the male characters a disadvantage to make it equal/even)

TBH I would like it be more fair...maybe give disadvantages to both sides to be equal...it'd be more fun than the standard "both sexes in RPGs/etc are equal in ALL ways" schtick we get in most such games.

If you do want to differentiate male and female characters for whatever reason, it would be better to give them both bonuses, and if one is to a combat relevant stat, the other should be as well. The Wizardry Gaiden series is a decent examples, with male characters getting +1 STR and female characters get +1 VIT, both stats that actually do matter. (Note that Wizardry 6 and 7 don't handle it as well; only female characters get modifiers, and they get a penalty to a combat-relevant stat and their bonuses are to stats that don't affect combat (and might not even do anything in Wizardry 6). At least female characters have access to a class male characters don't.)

With that said, I still think making male and female characters equal is the best approach.

(There's also the issue that differentiating male and female characters makes it more difficult to implement non-binary characters.)

I think to be fair it should be a mix of both penalties and bonuses(same as when picking class/race/etc in some such games), but either way would work.

Perhaps, but it's unrealistic and also a bit boring imo.

They should make a non binary/blank slate character option for games, then, with maybe a mix of the penalties/bonuses the other choices get....that seems like it'd work in those cases.

But so are dragons and magical spells, if we're talking about a fantasy game.

If we're talking about Wasteland (which, as far as I know, has no gender stat differences), then it's not as if the mutant creatures, rapid human cloning, and sentient AI are particularly realistic, at least with the knowledge we have now.

By unrealistic I meant more the fact that men and women(or any gender) are not actually all equal in all things/aspects.....yet we(society in general, game makers in this case) are seemingly supposed to make all people equal in all things in games/etc like some sort of fantasy utopia for "reasons" I guess.

In this game's setting, those things you mentioned just now are commonplace/normal to that "world" & are how things are.....what is likely NOT a thing one would find in such a setting(if it existed) would be people prioritizing being PC over survival/etc......so to me such things make the setting more plausible/realistic, even if others might find them unpalatable when shown in media.

In short, in such games I want it to be "true" to the world it is set in more than an idealistic/PC imagining of said worlds.
Hmmm... I'm sure that under system requirements windows 7 was listed only a few days ago... now only win 8/10 are shown and no linux...

ok, in this case -> UNwishlisted

It might be because Window´s 7 End of Life Support, unfortunately, has ended 14. January 2020.
Fever and fewer new games will support it from now on.

Although I think it was the best OS they released so far, but since there will be no support for it from now on, developers would shoot themselves into their own foot if they would write it as a supported OS and someone would run into some sort of issue.

As much as it saddens me, if you wanna play newer games, you´d have to upgrade.

Or wait for some brave Win7 user with spare cash to test it out...that could also work. :)
