It's so much more than just a graphical upgrade, it's a modern retelling of the unforgettable experience that Abe's Oddysee was all these years ago. The unsettlingly beautiful visuals, the disturbingly odd universe, and the unforgivingly difficult gameplay were enough to leave a lasting impression on anyone who encountered Abe's Oddysee. Seventeen years later, Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty retains the setting, the sounds, and the flavor; all brought up to modern platforming par, and beyond, with updated controls, refined mechanics and a reconstructed experience.

FIRST!!!

Aand wishlisting for now :)
Oh, and I tought that was a new entry title. Interesting! But is this a remake of the first or second Oddworld? Or both?

Edit: I was blind enough to not see the game subtitle and too fast to just skim the description at GOG announcement. It´s a remake of the first title, which was really needed!

Grargar: Of the first.
Thanks
Looks great though :)
Interesting. Screens look very nice. I'll have to think about it. On one side it is surely fun bit there are some things turning me a bit away. So one week to decide for it or missing out of the extra stuff or will this become available later on as dlc you can buy?
I bought both Oddworld games during the last sales but i haven't got myself to re-play them. I think the last time i played them was when i still had a PS - they are two of the best games released for that console. Anyway, it looks like a good remake, new shiny graphics (although in my opinion, the original graphics are wonderful even now) and stuff but the price is too steep for me right now that i have the original games - and to be honest, i'm not sure if i'll ever buy it unless it proves it is worth it. I'll keep an eye on it!
Read in an article that the second part (Abe's Exoddus) will be getting a New 'n' Tasty treatment if 250,000 copies of Abe's Oddysee New 'n' Tasty are sold. Fingers crossed!

Wishlisted for now as it's way above how much I can afford.
Wishlisted.

I've always been interested in the Oddworld games but haven't played them yet, except Stranger's Wrath on Xbox, but that was a bit different. It was fun until I got fed up aiming things with the controller... ugh.

I really enjoyed playing these games on the playstation and while I already have the regular games on here, I couldn't pass up the remake as I love introducing people to games I enjoy and getting them hooked as well, and for some graphics can really be a deal breaker sadly. The updated graphics are wonderful and should make it a lot easier to hook those friends that are graphically challenged.

Brilliant video. Thanks for sharing.
I don't get why this game was even made other than for cash-grabbing purposes... Same old story.
Gotta buy this one. Oddworld got me into pc gaming again, thanks to a GOG sale :)
But gotta spread that linux love (yeah, me again :P) : all of the upcoming games have/will have linux versions!

République developers plan a port, but currently no ETA

... and I gotta believe that the Witcher 3 will have a linux port. hence the fantastic (gotta try the new beta) Witcher 2 on linux :P
I so very much hope TW3 will come to Linux. Sorry OT
