Hello, Poppo1946 here. I got rid of Win10 and installed good old Win 7. After downloading the game again and opening it I saw the three options concerning the DLC's. I did not understand the explanations and clicked on the right side one because I wanted to redo the Kera Mettz (?) quest and not kill her this time around. By doing so I lost all my saved games and must start over again. { J Mich replied to my post and asked a few questions. I will add this information thanks to him. The nearly five hundred hours were played in Win 10 and I did not make a backup before changing operating systems. } I love this game but do not want to trudge through the entire game again. I logged nearly five hundred hours of game play by searching for everything and going back to redo parts of the game for better outcomes. Does anyone know how I can recover the three options again so I can more wisely choose next time? Or how to get my older saves back so I can get my level 35 character back by loading the latest save amoung the older saves? If that makes any sense by the way I worded that sentence. I have sent a plea for help to GOG support but am not holding my breath for a reply. My desktop PC was built by me buying part by part as good parts were upgraded to the next generation and what I wanted the price dropped drastically and I still found great sale prices at just the right time so my computer runs the game on ultra or high setting st 60 frames. The 32" flat screen TV monitor really shows detail and brings the action right to me. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help me with my problem.

Did you play the ~500 hours on your Win 7 or on Win 10? And if you played those on Win 10, did you make a backup of the saves before formatting your hard disk?

Thank you J Mitch for replying to me. Also if the uniform you are wearing is indeed real I salute your bravery by inlisting knowing your life might be on the line. To answer your question, no. I was playing on Win 10 but did not make a backup. So I believe it is a lost cause of ever retreaving my older game saves. However I was hoping for a back door route. Perhaps a way to bring up the page that was there after downloading using Win 7. I did ask which option I wanted. Start as I was at level 35 and go directly to Wine & Roses, secondly stay at level 35 and not start Wine & Roses or start new game. I dumbly clicked on the third option and that is how I became a beginning Witcher in White Orchard all over again. I believed my older saves would still be there. So please tell me if there is a way to bring that options page back up so I can choose one of the other options. Or a way to some how back door the older saves without going back to Win 10 and making a backup. Would the game allow that backup to be loaded on Win 7?

P.S. I have not kept up on life in Greece for way too long. I only read about the financial state of affairs. I hope you and your family are doing well and in good health. As the U.S. Marines say Sempre Fi. I made a correction to my first post to clearify things for others. I gave the credit to you.

Normally you shouldn't loose your old saves when starting a new dlc etc. Only when uninstalling the game you can accidentally delete your saves. You can try to search for the saves in the My Documents to see if they are still there.

Thank you for the information. I can build or repair a PC but am lost as far as normal digging around through files. I will give it a try and let you know what I find and can do. Thank you for replying.

I don't use the default location but I think normally My Documents should be in C:\UserData. I hope you'll find out what happened to your saves.
