It comes out on march 4th so only a few days it would be a gem if it could be here on gog, in short: Soulash is a modern oldschool roguelike where you are a fallen god bent on destroying the world that betrayed you (Or something crazy like that). It's also entirely moddable through the game interface, can even make your own worlds and entities and what not.

I followed Soulash for years and it's quite the game, i'm sure roguelike lovers would love it <3. It was built by a lone developer called Artur Smiarowski and then later on a master artist joined the project. You can even play in both styles, ascii or graphics. The combat can be fast and brutal as strategic and careful, with world entities can be destroyed by fire explosions and what not. There are interesting races hell you can be a lich, vampire, troll, golem, etc.

I am biaised because i followed this game as a patron and also bought it everywhere, but.. I would re-buy it here on gog for sure and for a friend. Can't get enough Soulash! If you want to look more into it there is the discord i posted above aswell, where the developer is 100% tied t othe community aspects and will gladly answer you aswell. Other fans too, it's a quiet discord tho. Please gog :) my loves...

Nope, like i said above you can play either ascii or full graphics... And even if you go only ascii it's kinda like a 3d- semi isometric kind of ascii hard to explain... If you go to the steam page there is a demo of the graphics version cheers Its awesome nice

Whilst I am not against it coming here, I don’t see it being hugely profitable for GOG. If it’s already available on itch drm free, it would be better if GOG went platter games which make them money and aren’t available yet.

Traditional Roguelikes like this are very niche. It won't do all that well on Steam either ill wager. Most games like this don't. It's why most of them are free.

I asked Artur Smiarowski about the chances of a GOG release and this was his answer:

"I would love to put the game on GOG, but unfortunately, my attempt was met with crickets. Maybe after a successful Steam launch, they would be more willing to have us."

The dev seems to be eager to see the game here, but curation... curation never changes.

Dont get me wrong boobs are awesome what i meant is that some dumbed down games made their ways here easily while this good dev doesn't manage to get this masterpiece on the store here.

There was a game sorta like that, except the @ became a 3D model and stuff. Looked interesting, but i can't recall what the game was...

My impression it looks like a rouge-like with simple pixel graphics.
