There has been this idea bouncing around my head for some time.

As many people here (and elsewhere) know I'm an active advocate for GoG and alternatives to Steam.

I contact developers and publishers to try and convince them to release via GoG or other alternatives to Steam. I also try and counter the "Steam is the PC Platform" mentality prevalent in the PC Gaming Media.

But I'm one voice. Any developer or publisher getting a single email asking for them to support an alternative to Steam is easily dismissed. While many indie developers do release on GoG, there are many that just don't see GoG or DRM Free as a viable platform.

So the idea is a coordinated effort, a developer/publisher getting dozens of emails from different people all asking the same thing at the same time in much harder to dismiss.

However this idea could be just as detrimental. Developers/Publishers might take chagrin with such tactics, specially if the email address is a direct contact (rather than usual customer facing) ; which is why I'm posting here. I'd like feed back from the blues.

I already have direct contacts for a number of publishers, but have held off widening the list until I can get some feedback from people.
