Could you provide more description of your problem ? Are you using Galaxy client or GOG downloader ? I assume it is Witcher 3 right ?

After you download the game and install it, you must also download and install the game patch. Until then, you cannot play the game.

Doesn't it do it automatically? It did for me. No drm eh. Ha!

Well, I don't use Galaxy, so I'll tell you how to get it manually.

Go to www.gog.com/account and you will see the games in your library. Click on Witcher 3, and it will open a list of all the game files. On the left, you'll see the main game files (large files) and then two files called patches. Download at least the patches, and double click on them to install them. If you already have them installed, it won't do anything, and your problem is something else ^_^

Good. Glad you solved your problem. Just be patient with current GOG. Galaxy client kind of disrupting the whole GOG process since new users are directed to use it (while it is still not complete) rather than downloading game installers manually -which is what GOG users mainly did in the past.
