With the Pillars of Eternity Royal Edition, one of the bonus goodies listed is "NOVELLA (COMING SOON)", however the game has been released for quite a long time now and the bonus Novella is nowhere to be found. This is probably just an oversight on the part of either GOG or the developer and it is a minor issue, but I wanted to see if anyone has downloaded the game+extras via GOG Downloader or the website manually and if the Novella is perhaps included there, but just not updated on the Galaxy servers, or if it is missing from the web/downloader servers too.

If it's just missing entirely, then GOG should poke the publisher about it or remove it from the list of goodies because having something listed as "coming soon" that is never going to happen just looks bad. :)

The novella hasn't been written yet. It was part of the Kickstarter rewards and is also included as part of the stuff that you get by paying the higher price of the Royal Edition and it's supposed to be released sometime in the future. This is also the case for the Special Edition of Dreamfall Chapters and the Digital Deluxe Edition of Wasteland 2.

The upgrade packs have been 'coming soon' since the game's release.

I wonder if it ever will see the light of day. Also GOG has no upgrade options for POE which is disappointing to say the least.

Ah, thanks guys, didn't know that. I'm going through my entire game collection looking for missing files, broken download links and whatnot and trying to determine whether they're glitches worth reporting or not. Looks like this one is on the publisher's ball court. Thanks for the info.

According to https://twitter.com/ChrisAvellone/status/609435925597126657?cn=cmVwbHk%3D&refsrc=email the PoE novella has existed in draft form for quite some time. Maybe it needed a lot of rewriting. :-/

Hopefully the writers are working on the next expansion and put the novella down the priority list. I agree the label "soon" is a bad choice (like Crawl!), but my guess it is more equal to "coming eventually" and if there is a change in the eventuality of it, it will be removed, however, I doubt that will happen because the backlash would be huge. Give it 8 months after the release of the 2nd expansion, then question again, is my view.
