Lets see if the microsoft acquisiton was a good thing because obsidian brought every game to gog in the past.....lets see what happens with pentiment and co
On one hand, Wasteland 3, Psychonauts 2, and The Outer Worlds are on GOG. On the other hand, those were pre-MS deals, so we'll see. If MS is putting games on Steam and allowing legacy games onto here, then I'd give it a reasonable shake Pentiment will see its way here.
Not quite all Obsidian games are here. Admittedly the one that isn't (Alpha Protocol) isn't available anywhere until someone pays Autograph? RIAA? for music licensing or replaces a couple of oggs with generic muzak. Pity really as it would be a good fit.

Grounded isn't either, but it also isn't formally released yet and would be the first test of whether we'll get games here on an ongoing basis.

I doubt Sega ever cares enough to bother, sadly. Abandonware exists for a reason though.

As for their future stuff, I'd guess Microsoft continues to have little interest in GOG. Their focus is on Gamepass, the complete antithesis of DRM free ownership, and they're only on Steam reluctantly.

I'm just grateful Alpha Protocol came out when stores still carried physical PC discs with the actual game and not a download code or Steam install. Always keep my copy safe :)

Nah. They just finally came to the realization that they could make even mo' money by selling on Steam.

Doubtful they'd be interested in GOG considering the chump change they would get in return. *shrug* Then again, I thought the same about the likes of Square Enix, Warner Bros, or even SEGA. So, anything can happen I guess.

I mean the point is that Steam is such a huge part of the PC market you almost have to be on there to make money. EA and Microsoft tried to prove that wrong and failed. Epic is only able to give it a go because of their Fortnite money, and I bet they still fail. Thus by reluctantly I mean "they want to sell games," yes.

Their long term goal is still Gamepass though, and I'd guess that has way more chance to get people to use a different client than DRM free or temporary exclusives ever did.
Pentiment was released today. Not here. Maybe some other day....
Played about an hour today since it came out on Game Pass. So far, it is slow and plodding and I do not recommend it to anyone that despises the arts. However, I don't, so I'm loving it as a piece of interactive historical fiction. It's very learned as a game. I can see myself picking it back up, but as I am a person of wandering mind, it'll likely be shelved as all the other games I play. But who knows. I'd probably tell anyone who thinks themselves as smart to check it out.
I'm still waiting for Pentiment to be released on GOG. I got a notification today it's on sale on Steam. However, I only put it on my wishlist on Steam to keep myself reminded it's a game I want to buy. I don't want to buy it on Steam however, I want to buy it on GOG:

GOG is gonna get the same treatment as PlayStation, you'll see. Bethesda seems to have some autonomy for now, but they're an exception, not the rule.

Out of those, only Wasteland 3 is directly published by Xbox, they're now bringing When Dusk Falls here, so it's possible.
