So asking for a friend, since i myself already have an account for paysafecard due to the lower link.
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/paysafecard_will_soon_be_with_a_free_account_only

So can anyone still buy games here with pin only or do you need an account also on paysafecard to buy games here.
What i know that the limit for pin only was 50 euro and with a free account it was 250 eu per month.
I do see an option to use the pin for paysafecard but wonder if it's even needed to have a paysafecard account.
Friend is new to GOG.

One of my friends that tried to pay with a Paysafe voucher (about a year ago) told me he was unable to use the voucher without an account.

Well i still see a 16 digit pin option just above when in paysafecard an arrow that you need to expand and then agree to conditions by checking a box and entering the pin.
But could not test it further as i don't have any pin to test it with.
The amount your friend tried to pay was probably below 50 EU?
And maybe after 14.9.2021

GOG didn't change the paysafecard requirements that you need an account there also if true.

I'm paying for games on GOG with Paysafecard in Germany.
It works as usual. But I've never payed more than 30 Euro at once so mybe there is a limit?

Limits for Slovenia are 50 € or 1000 € with a free account.

Paysafecard notes an account might be required on certain stores regardless, but it's unclear what that looks like. In a quick test, I also see the PIN code option at the top. Maybe that simply isn't there when an account is required.
Edit: Nope. I put around 175 € worth of games in the shopping cart, and the PIN code option is still at the top despite not being really available.

When he tried to checkout, he was presented with a long drawn-out account creation process. Admittedly, it might differ from country to country.

Guess i will have to test it someday and maybe i will just buy him a gift with his paysafecard since he somehow doesn't want a paysafecard account.

If you'll have a look at the limits for Greece, you'll note for the GR row, the Transaction limit without registration column is blank. So in Greece, an account is always required (also Argentina, Italy, and Portugal).

I see. I haven't personally used Paysafe ever since 2015, so I was quite surprised when my friend told me that it required an account even for a freaking 10€ voucher. Thanks for that info.

Lifetime top-ups & transactions is 1000 eu though i don't exactly know what this means for a free account. Maybe a limit to use 1000 eu in your whole lifetime?
It actually is 250 eu per month when i log in and check each month in the .Monthly top-ups &
transactions.

We were discussing transaction limits, which are different from top up limits. If you really do have a transaction limit of 250 € per month, you should contact Paysafecard since that goes against everything they're saying on their site.
low rated
Slowly taking away peoples ability to save and spend their money is what they should be out protesting against instead of the other stupid topics in the news.

Well i marked you as solved since you say you can still use pin only with paysafecard.
When i get a paysafecard i am gonna test it out unless somebody from my country can confirm this also. Then i won't need to test it out.

Thank you. Getting back to the original question, that PDF reiterates what I pointed out before: an account is required only in Greece, Italy, and Portugal. Some countries, like Slovenia, impose that requirement for sports betting and "iGaming" but the latter refers to online gambling, so it's not applicable here.
