Title says it all. My VISA gift card is linked to Paypal, and it is logged in. Yet however when I hit purchase, it doesn't complete the purchase. I have a paypal account and I linked the card to it. Please help. I will respond to all questions. (That is .... if you're not asking for the card number. Lol.)

Check your bank statement online and see if there are any payments denied. Chances are you may need to call your bank about this.

JudasIscariot: Check your bank statement online and see if there are any payments denied. Chances are you may need to call your bank about this.
I don't think paypal qualifies as a bank. I do not know how to see if a payment has been denied. Can you help me with this?

Edit: Do you mean contacting VISA?

More like Visa or Paypal might be blocking it.

Sorry, I didn't see the "gift card" earlier in your original post.

edit: yes, you may want to contact VISA since they are the issuer of your gift card.

edit 2: as a workaround, have you tried adding funds to your PayPal account from that gift card and then just using PayPal instead?

I don't suppose there's a way to do that without giving away my SSN, is there? Because I tried that and I didn't like the thought of just handing out my SSN like candy, when I wish I could just add funds from a throwaway gift card.

Hmmm I am not sure but if you already have a PayPal account then I don't think you would need to give your SSN again.

Tbh I just don't get why paypal can't just let me directly add funds from visa, like "I want to put 10 bucks from prepaid visa to paypal account." This is such a bloody stupid system.

Probably because gift cards don't have a name / last name tied to them? Just hazarding a guess at this point.

I had to specifically tell my bank to authorize Paypal payments to Cyprus (where GOG is) Some banks are more cautious than others (not sure if that's a good thing) Bottom line with overseas transactions, you might need to tell your bank it's OK.. After, you should be golden. I've found GOG to be 100% honest and reputable.
